I believe it was call oom or something like that.
I need to be able to poor water in to a class and have it "turn" into milk.

I don't think oom will work for a magical liquid change as it generally, at least in my experience, need to be stirred to get it to look like milk..

I use OOM for hospitality. Just use a tiny bit more, and when you pour, have the water hit the bottom of the glass instead of the side.

I'm not sure about an instant change. I like using powdered milk for most of my milk routines, but it takes some shaking and/or stirring!

A lot of people did not believe a black cow could give white milk until I proved it to them.

I use powdered milk too, simply because it's easier to deal with. I once dropped the quart of milk I brought with me to use and had to replace it with milk that the senior center I was performing at fortunately had on hand.

As for OOM, it's merely a light machine oil. You can find more about it in Howie Diddits in the Secrets forum. Which is a reason to be careful to clean plastic pitchers and tumblers very carefully when finished or it can stain the plastic over time.

What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums.

Exactly! That is why I stopped using OOM. I liked the convenience it offered, but I didn't like the residue. Since interior access is unattainable and cleaning on my, "The Jug", I was afraid OOM would ruin it. I had to find an alternative.

Sam, check out this thread:

You may have already seen it, but there are some interesting ideas on it. One guy from Spain mentions "floor wax", and "some unknown magician" from Alabama says his wife uses pina colada mix.

The floor wax I use on floors is indeed white. I buy it at sams.

Dr. Tichenor's Antiseptic turns white when mixed with water.
But then you may have the alcohol smell to deal with. I would test it first.

I was wondering about the smell of the floor wax. What does it smell like?

It's strong, but most of the smell would probably evaporate if you left it sitting out in the open earlier.

Still, it sounds to me like powdered milk would be the best bet. A lot less problems in the end.

I've never had problems with the clean-up of OOM. I just rinse the pitcher well after each show, and I am good to go. I mix it up prior to the show in a Mason canning jar with a lid...no spillage problems.

Well, since milk in a pitcher is something totally unrecognizable to anyone these days, I use a special mixture that's orange. Doesn't spoil and doesn't stain the plastic parts of anything in which it's used. For transport and ease of filling whatever it's used in (Dan Harlan's "The Jug", I have it in a big liter plastic bottle with a pop up spout.

LOL every one good stuff

here is an update

I need to pour water into a cup and have it turn white I don't care if they think it is milk or not I just need the color to be white
I purchased some miracle milk suggested by Howie Diddit and the stuff is pure gold!

I used 15 drops in the cup then pour about 5 oz of water in and it turned white instantly and looked just like milk but again I just needed the color white
so this is it I got what I needed.

thanks to all that suggested things and ideas I really appreciated the help

sam

ps now I cant wait to perform my new routine trick:)
