There was just a topic on Doug Brewer, but no one has mentioned Doug's latest coin DVD, called Red Light. First of all, Doug is a working professional, who does these routnes for real people every night. So you know that everything Doug releases has been thoroughly audience tested. Second, Doug is Funny. His magic is engaging not only because he is good technically, but because he makes you smile. Doug's presentations are really fun to watch. It becomes more than a magic trick, it becomes a magical experience. In fact, Doug has performed twice at our seminars, because the participants loved his material. So, when Doug Brewer releases something new, it is wise to pay attention. His new DVD, Red Light, contains a bunch of good solid coin magic, 11 routines in total. Among my favorites are "Coins in a Single File", where he extends the classic Cylinder and Coins routine with a prelude effect that introduces the cylinder. Following that is Doug's own take on the Cylinder and Coins, and much more.
Doug tackles several classics, including the Portable Hole, Translocation, Matrix, CSB with an Okito Box, and a couple of other solid Okito box routines. This is a worthwhile DVD, with material that can fit most performers. You will need some gimmicks, but those that are usually found in the repetoires of most coin magicians (and if not, are good to have!). As with all of Doug's material, this DVD is worthy of your attention.

I received this just before I left on vacation. Looking forward to watching it when I get back.
