Aside from Miser's Dream Granted and Miracle Miser, is anyone aware of any other gimmicks that allow for a self contained routine where you don't have to manually drop coins?

True true true. This one is superb. There are a number of solid routines you can do with it, it is priced right and the simplicity allows you to completely focus on the presentation without any hiccups.

Why call it common sense when it's so rare ?

I have several such routines -- all with the important feature of "verifying the count" and displaying at the end the exact number of coins produced and showing the hands completely empty during the routine. Drinking glass, baseball cap, metal pitcher -- whatever; the sleight sand moves can be adapted to most anything without gimicking the container.

I am thinking of combining these into a comprehensive book rather than offering separate eBooks.

Glad to see there is interest here

I use a PK ring, or other magnetic device on the ring, to produce ... then falsely "drop" ... the steel-core (shimmed) half-dollar into the pail. I also flatten a
dab of magician's wax on the center of the coin to make it slip-proof for my thumb. The beauty of this is that the hand can be opened virtually flat, rather than the contorted positions of standard palms, and still not flash the coin. It works every time!

Use Downs's wire loop gimmick. Doesn’t get any easier.
