The French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts is accepting applications from magicians interested in teaching and performing during the summer of 2012.
Located on a private lake in the western Catskills of New York State, the French Woods Festival is the premier Performing Arts Camp on the planet. The staff and the campers come from all over the world. (The U.S., the U.K, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa, Spain, the Ukraine, Italy, Scotland, Mexico, South Korea, Belgium...)
The Magic Department has a 225-seat theatre, a separate Cabaret Stage, a Close-Up Room, and a large Primary Classroom. The skills taught are wide and varied: Cards, Coins, Close-up, Parlor, Stage, Mentalism, and large Illusions.
Children from throughout the United States and around the world participate in a program run by certified teachers and complemented by counselor specialists. These specialists must have strong skills and teaching abilities in the field of magic. Best of all, they get to hone their own skills and learn from a professional magician. In a word – the experience is INCREDIBLE.
