Check first to make sure that option is still checked to yes in your preferences.

Just a guess here for both of you. Have you checked your spam and/or junk email boxes? You both are using comcast as a server which seems like a pretty strong coincidence. This may be an issue with your server.

I was just about to ask about this issue. I'm new, but definitely not going in the spam folder or anywhere else.
I would have taken part in the live facebook show last night, but only saw the message when I checked my PMs this morning. |

Michael, did you check your preferences as I mentioned in my first reply above. The email notification box has to be checked to yes.

I had checked. I should have specified that - sorry it was unclear. Here are the settings I think might affect it, let me know if I need to check any other settings:
Allow other users to view my Email Address: No Send an email alert to me when I receive any private messages (PMs): Yes Block receipt of non-reply PMs except from forum staff: No I was presuming that the PM alert would not check the first setting, but am wondering if that's possibly the issue. Or again, if being a new user has any inherent issues. |

Your settings are correct and being a new user has nothing to do with. This, like the ones above, may be an issue with your server.

Thanks - I get plenty of email from all over at the address registered, so not sure what the server would have against emails coming from this place |

Some servers put a block on The Café if too many msgs are sent from it.Not saing this is the case but I have seen it happen with a few addresses here.

Atom and Adam, since Barts system is working now, I sent you a both a pm. Did you receive the email notification? It will come from Steve Brooks. If not, one other thing to check is to make sure your email address hasn't changed at all from when you registered. Compare your profile address with your current address.

Then it appears the problem is with comcast not the Café.
