George,
Thanks but I think I'm okay. The docs that come with the Terror of Whitechapel are more than enough. There are about a half dozen police reports, 5 pieces of Ripper correspondence (including "From Hell"), 2 newspaper reproductions, a witness statement and more. I actually have a map of Whitechapel coming to me in the mail. I had ordered it not knowing about the map lining the Terror of Whitechapel's lid ("D'Oh!"). There's also another Whitechapel map included, in the form of the 4x3 grid used to perform "Abberline's Conclusion." |

A nice effect addition to the "From Hell" letter from Viktorbc is his creation of the bleeding "From Hell" letter that some might like to add to they're Whitechapel set or what I will use it for my "From Hell" V5 post card set from Lebanon Circle. Haven't ordered them yet, but looks like may add an interesting twist on any Ripper prop & story line.....& for $12 for 10 copies that are reusable several times - good deal & effect add-on

Nothing wrong with a bit of Halloween fun of course, but I don't think LC's work should be lumped together with the more 'novelty' end of things.

I ordered this a week or so ago...can't wait to get it. Could be tacky, but could be very, very cool.

Having trouble ordering. When I click "Add to Cart" I'm just sent to the PayPal sign-on page. I had trouble too. His site is broken. Send him a PM, and he'll give you his PayPal address so you can send him payment directly. Since I haven't received my order yet, I can't guarantee that this is a dependable transaction, but he seemed like a sincere seller.

Not to de-rail or hi-jack this thread, but since it came up a problem on purchasing it, didn't think it would hurt to clarify it for others.
I received an email response from Vince ( aka Viktorbc, Café member ) about the purchase problem on his site should anyone else have the same problem as Mind Guerrilla. Here is his response to direct Paypal payment for His Bloody Hell letter illusion instead of thru his site; "Please let everyone know that I am selling the Bloody Hell Illusion via payments sent to vince@ghosttech.net and that my other illusions including new ones based on EA Poe, are on sale at http://www.geminiartifacts.com Thanks! Vince" |

I can only imagine what Terror of Whitechapel is, but Mind Guerrilla gave it a very well described review of his happy purchase. |

Hmmmm, In one way I like it as the identifier of the victims, but in another way doesn't look like real blood so it kind of gives them a fake look & they look so authentic for post cards from that era...... I'm get tempted to actually dabble them with real blood.....LoL
I love this version of From Hell cards, think they are the best he's done in these series to date ! The wife works at a Funeral home & I pulled them out to show some of the guys that are directors & a couple that do the in-bombing and they were both creep-ed out & in awe at the same time....LoL but when I did the PK thing with the one card, they freaked out !!! The owner looked at me & said " Ok, I'm done....." & left to his office rather quickly.....LoL |

There's a very thin line between scary and funny - I guess that's why a lot of people laugh when they're scared - and it's probably up to each individual performer to find whereabouts that line sits with him. For me, I have no problem with the blood splattered backs of From Hell, but I would never use a letter that drips blood. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly why one is (for me) congruent with my performance and the other is not. Perhaps it is because the letter is quite clearly not the original. And so, if it's not the original, why is it dripping blood? And indeed, why is it dripping blood at all?
The letters that you get from LC and also clearly not the originals, but they don't drip blood and can be presented purely as authentic facsimiles. I guess I have a problem with anything that 'drips blood', whether that be letters or candles or whatever. If I was at a performance and suddenly something started to drip fake blood, internally I would think "Oh, I get it, it's a trick." The last thing I would assume is that an evil entity was moving amongst us and was causing inanimate objects to bleed. Now the whole blood thing is great for fun, light-hearted spooks 'n' laughs shows. Perfect! But if I was trying to create an intense atmosphere where people weren't altogether sure if the spirit of Jack the Ripper might actually be amongst us, I wouldn't want anything starting to bleed fake blood. But that's just me, and I'm sure other performers could make it work perfectly well.
