As many well know, Alchemy Moon is preparing for is annual All Souls feast.
One of the most anticipated items must be Kadar. Kadar is the Zoltar Elite that everyone has been asking for. I do not want to go into details yet, but your anticipation is justified! Anyway, I am not here to pimp my wares (or get my 'friends' to do so!). I do have a genuine question. I am at the stage of putting the cards together. These will be LARGE this time around. Also, they will be mounted on wood, which make a nice clickity clack as you play with them! But I have one decision to make. Slots or no slots? This question will only make sense to owners of Zoltar I am afraid. I really do not know the answer myself. I used the slot on Zoltar quite a lot at the start, but then found that it worked well enough without this subterfuge. So in the end I thought that I would do the sensible thing and ask you, the actual users. So if you could just answer; 'slot' or 'no slot'. I will go with the winning vote! thanks Chris

I guess it would depend on the context of the prop. On the original, the slot seemed conceptually motivated. It was the sort of card that would have been delivered from the slot in a large mechanical Zoltar machine, and the slot was supposed to mirror that experience for the participant. I never actually used the card with the slot, myself, I preferred the other one. So perhaps it isn't necessary...

No slot. I found that I never used it. The card was strong enough to stand on it's own as a reading device. I find this to be particularly true with Kadar. There is far, far more here than there was with Zoltar, so the slot is definitely not needed.

Slot. I would rather have the choice to use it if I wanted to. The slot being there does not detract any thing from the actual card IMHO.

No slot. I think a slot may look odd in the wood.

(luckily we've moved away from throwing babies into Moloch's furnace) Slot!
