Classic Film Verite MAY be useful in any language, but you won't be able to tap into people's memories of seeing a film if they never saw, or even heard of, Gone With the Wind and most of the 31 other classic films in the set. But for audiences who are familiar with the classic films, it will be an outstanding effect for many years to come.

Just another question with regards to the second effect. Description says:

Can someone please explain what "unique film critic number means"?

Get it for the several possible expressions of the brilliant main effect. I do not know anyone who regularly performs either of the add-ons.

I should clarify one thing. Classic Film Verite CAN be performed wherever English is spoken, even as a second language but, if the audience is not familiar with the films, the effect would lose some of its punch.

I use this a lot at Halloween and have made up several themed cards myself,it is a knockout effect and I have never been called out on it in the years of performing it

So what is the difference between Cinema Verite and Classic Film Verite?

The films in the original Cinema Verite are quite obscure Steampunk movies. Classic Film Verite is the same effect using famous films that people will have heard of.

I am going to have to get the Halloween version of C.C.V. when I can. I love this effect. Wait no it sucks please everyone leave this effect alone that way no one (else besides me) will ever perform it :p Seriously C.C.V. is one of my most favorite effects to perform. It kills and that is all you need to know.

I’m convinced. Just picked up all 3 versions.

Not sure how long this has been available but there are now pocket versions "Pocket Verites Classic Film or Horror".
