Could someone please give me some advice on getting the candle in the plastic holder. I've tried several times it just does not fit.

Danny, You have to extend it from the wick out, pull out the coil a little bit at a time from the innerside of the coil out, while giving a little twist each time to tighten it, you will be amazed at how long and thin you can get that candle. You can stretch it out so that it actually becomes way too small for the plastic holder. Play around with it youll figure it out.

Thanks alot Peter! I had no idea the candle could be uncoiled that far without missing up the coils.I got the cap on with no problem at all. I kinda feel stupid now but thanks. I do have one more question. Where can buy wicks for the candle once it's completely burned away?

Some magic shops carry extra wick, or you can find extra wick at most crafts stores, and some hardware stores. It will be most expensive at a magic shop.
Glad to hear you got it to fit. P.

Is there some kind of cap for the candle? And what is a good routine for it?

I have not seen any caps, but in a lecture that I saw Fantasio give, someone raised the question worrying about the wick drying out. He suggests a small thimble with a small amount of cotton in the bottom with a little bit of fluid in it, turned upside down on the top. This will prevent the wick from drying out.
Remove it before you perform. If you forget, do a quick thimble vanish. Fantasio is an absolute genius in vanishing/appearing candles, canes, etc. |

Another suggestion given by Michael P. Lair in his Candles! video is a pen cap over the wick.

You can get candle caps from the following locations. There are loads of other places if you do a search on the net.
Click Here! Click Here! Click Here! As for wicks, I use Zippo wicks, they work great, just tie a knot at one end and thread the other end thru. I find the last about 20 performances but are dead cheap. Good luck |
