The effect was that he would slam his hand
repeatedly down on the very sharp blade of a knife.

I would like to learn this effect.

This was one of the signature routines of Imam's. It was never published or sold. He did teach it to one person. There was to be a instructional video of Imam's material but he died before they could be put together. There might be some private video of Imam doing the routine, but I have never seen any footage of it. I watched him do it many, many times.

I've never heard of him before this thread. Now, I've looked him up on YouTube, and he's doing a beautiful routine with an idea I recently started playing with.
