I thought I'd start a thread with telephoto ideas like the iforce ideas thread.
To start the ball rolling here's my first idea. 12 calendar images, Jan - December. Have them open the gallery and find their birth month and imagine circling their birth. Now on a pad write down the month. Now that you are committed ask the date and NW the number. If you can get their age a few effects before telefoto you can calculate the year accurately as soon as you know the month. If you have Hollywood or Bust you can use telephoto to limit the choices. I plan on using this as my movie knowledge is not extensive enough to perform Hollywood or Bust as released. You can create a huge gallery with a fairly small number of actors by using scenes from different roles. Mark |

Nice idea, both the calendar and the idea of starting the thread, well done.

Hollywood or bust is available with the Stealth Assasin Wallet or it is on the Underground Collectives DVD Welcome to the firm. It's a great routine and if you have an extensive movie knowledge it can really kill. I once had someone thinking of saving private Ryan. I told them to think of an iconic scene from their movie and when I started describing the Omaha beach scene he almost went white as a sheet lol.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for starting this thread. I love mixing methods together. I'll share a performance that I've been doing with teleFoto . . . I call it "Old & New": "In the old world, magicians would carry a deck of cards". Show a deck. "In the new world, you can pick a card from a website of cards . . . virtual cards are better for the environment. " To spec #1 "Let's bring the old and the new together. Go to this website and think of any card". (teleFoto) To spec #1 "Have you seen a card you like? Concentrate on that card." To spec #2 "Pick a card out of this real deck. But don't show it to anyone." "It would be an amazing coincidence if both of you had the same card." They both reveal their cards at the same time to be the SAME!! cheers, Greg |

To make your album seem more "legit", you could make a cover photo of sorts. For example, in the Las Vegas album, the first photo could be of an introductory page such as "Welcome to Las Vegas!". That would give the feel of it being a true photo album.

I like that a lot Randy.
Thanks for sharing. I've been using George's idea for "random" photos and it's KILLER. Your private photos are great, but they imply you're familiar with them. Albums that are based on a topic (like the included Vegas) are cool too, but your audience knows that you're familiar with the topic. When you tell them "these photos are RANDOM" they can see that they're random. Hence, it's impossible to guess the photo. That's why I ALWAYS perform my random album. Please thank George for this amazing idea. Greg Rostami |

Glad you liked it Greg, it does seem totally random this way and I was thinking of making up a sort of advertising page, not a photo as such so that when they connect the first thing they see is a page saying something like "welcome to premier stock photo gallery" or similar. This would give the impression that they are really on a gallery page, what do you guys think ?

I think that sounds like a good idea George. It's the little convincers that turn a skeptic to a believer

Love the idea George. It looks amazing!
I've just setted my ''low battery screen'' with an image of my web browser with the first image they will see from the album. So I can show them that I've found this photo internet page but my battery is to low. Don't know if I really like it, I will try it out this evening. |

Hi George,
I love that idea. I would have never thought of using the first picture as an introduction photo. This is so awesome. Greg |

Absolutely loving this! I have one niggle with the basic premise and let me explain what I've done to overcome it!
My only concern with using straight photographs is that a spectator may ask can you do this if I choose a photo from my own album, now there may be some line I could think of to cover this but rather than do this I've opted to do the following. I've created a fake blog on numerology and have embedded some images which explain the meanings behind each of the numbers. Now in my mind because there is a "reading" attached to each of the numbers it makes logical sense that the spectator has to visit this site in order to check if the reading makes sense to them. This explains why they couldn't just think of the numbers before the reveal. Also I get a bonus pay off since I just ask for a yes or no answer as to wether the reading is accurate and fits their personality. This yes/no answer allows me to give an excellent "HOT" read as a bonus. Now you could also create a fake astrology blog and have readings for each of the star signs and do the same. Thus getting a hot read and whilst also gaining their astrological star sign. If using photographs I'd probably include a word or descriptive tag on it or perhaps a time/date to give a reason why this would only work with the album your providing them. Hope that makes sense P.S My Numerology blog version makes "Isabella's Star" a dream to perform

I've made a movie posters album. I've found the # association with each movie poster is easier than I thought. For example:
1 = It's a WONderful Life 2 = Toy Story (TO Infinity and Beyond!) 4 = Independence Day (July 4th...) 7 = Lucky # Slevin 11 = Ocean's Eleven 14 = The Notebook (Feb 14th is Valentine's Day, hence the movie theme, love) 22 = Footloose (Dancers sometimes were a to-to, 22) 31 = Halloween (Oct 31st These are just a few of the many movie posters I have saved in my album. It's easier to associate #'s with it than you think. (#18 for Grown-Ups. Just came to mind.) |

Thanks Greg, it just seems to give credibility to the site, nobody has ever questioned it.

Greg, personally I think this kind of thread for ideas should be taken to a closed Facebook page.

I wish we could come up with a better way for coding this. I would ideally like to build an album of 100 images, that I would memorise and use forever. This would be a huge workhorse for me. But how could we create a code suitable for up to 100 items?

True. Closed FB page would be a good idea.
