I have noticed more magicians using carry on bags as the base for their performance tables. Like this...
http://www.luggagepros.com/samsonite-hyp......er.shtml They basically pull up the handle, snap a table top to the handle, attach a skirt, and they are done. The audience sees a manuverable skirted table. The performer has a lot of packing area that fits on a plane as a carry on. Has anyone seen designs for this sort of thing? I'm wondering what features in a bag are important? I'm wondering what is used to attach the table top? Thoughts? |

Mikame used to make a table top that clipped to the handle of a roll-on bag. It is long out of production. Basically two clips (like those on TV trays or that hang brooms from the walls) and a metal support rod. The clips snapped on the bag's handle and the metal rod swung down and rested against the outside of the bag. It was a pretty simple affair but worked like a dream.

That is what I remembered seeing, two clips and a support rod. Thanks. I didn't know they were professionally made. I suppose when something is so simple, people prefer to make their own.

They weren't a big seller that's for sure. Plus they were on the expensive side. They are easy to make.
