Interesting. I would love to see that from a different angle. Does anyone know what's going on? Some animation maybe?

I just had this thought- If perpetual motion is impossible, so is the notion of eternity, or a perpetual universe. Entropy rules.

Intrepid- Don't do that to me. I thought your answer was a reponse to my post so I mixed three shots together and knocked 'em back to see if entropy would ensue.
It did. (And is.) |

I never suggested it's ridiculous. "Amazing" was the word I used. I find it to be very impressive.

I've worked with video folks...,many like to do this sort of stuff to showcase their skills...just like magicians performing for magicians. Also college film/art students will do these videos for assignments then post them to share.
It's truly amazing what can be done nowadays...

Physics Girl calls perpetual motion machines the "snake oil of physics"
Maybe so, but all those fakes still have there charm.

Wrong. It's a continuously expanding system, and the maximum entropy possible keeps increasing as the volume of the universe increases. The delta between current universal entropy and maximum universal entropy just keeps getting larger. Wheee!" http://burtleburtle.net/bob/physics/whythere.html I haven't read the whole page yet, this human "reasoning" stuff tangles my mind, stresses me out, makes me feel I'm swimming against a waterfall, and against myself, hints to me it's opposite of what I need to do, if you understand what I mean. I think you do. My apologies if that was a run-on sentence back there. Ironically appropriate, though, I suppose, considering. EDIT- Actually, I guess that just indicates the universe is- to use the same word, among others - expanding, developing, going onward- you understand- which is my main concern, really. ie. depends on your definition of eternity (does it include a starting point or is it defined as no beginning, no end?) As I said, the statement addresses my main concern. |
