I looked over the website, but can't find the info on what it takes to start an Assembly...how many people minimum, etc.
Can anyone get me the info? I believe the IBM is ten people minimum...so I presume that the SAM is similar. We have around 5 or 6 folks possibly right now.

Mike, the Assembly Handbook and the SAM By-Laws have the information you're looking for. They're in the Members Section of the website under Downloads/Documents.

Hook up with your Regional Vice President. Part of their job is helping new Assemblies through the birth pangs.

Right now, we only have 5 or 6 potential members...not enough to charter a new assembly OR IBM ring.
We are a scant crowd in rural northern Michigan...and we are 4 hours from the nearest assembly, and two hours from the nearest ring.

Mike, not all of your charter members have to be local. As TVP, I belong to all of my state's Rings. You can pull members from other areas in your state to fill out your roster. Invite your RVP and TVP to join - it might motivate them to visit now and then. You might also invite members from the Ring and Assembly to join.

What if you do not have a car nor means for the travel?
Magic speaks to the child in all of us. No matter how sophisticated we become, there's still a part of us who wants to believe in an alternative reality, where we can defy the laws of nature.
