Well, first of all this is my first post here, I've been around the forum lurking a bit and I really liked it, I love the idea of magicians sharing knowledge.
I'm 18 years old, I'm studying magic in a magic school here in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I really like it. I bought recently a pair of Mini Bicycle cards that I found in a magic shop, and I was wondering what their potential is, what can be done with them and where might these tricks be learned (books, DVD's and such) Thank you very much. Greetings, Pedro. |

If you bought a PAIR of mini Bicycle card decks, and if one is a red back deck and one is (for example) a blue back deck, you can combine them with a jumbo deck (any brand) to perform Qua-Fiki's "Ultra Coincidental" from The Wizards' Journal #25 at The Magic Nook. A jumbo card is chosen face down and without revealing what card was chosen, five to ten cards from each mini deck (you can also do this with regular size playing cards if you want) are randomly chosen and scattered about face down on the back of the jumbo card. Eventually one card is chosen from each different colored back deck of mini-cards and the rest are discarded. When the three cards are turned face up, all three match, and naturally, all three decks can be examined.

It is about tricks with thumbnail sized cards (you get a couple sheets of them with the book). The ONLY uses I have found for mini decks are The AmBIGuous Card by Mike Powers. if you buy a mini deck from Ellusionist they send you a xerox of maybe 2 routines you can do. Bicycle did at one time make a mini Invisible Deck (i still have one) They can be incorporated into a couple shrinking deck routines. I am sure there are others but I havent found "marketed" routines. If it is in fact the mini deck of bikes (or the minis they sell on ellusionist) neither of these two books will be any help to you.

One man's treasure is another man's trash. No disrespect, but I disagree with Poof-Daddy.
Read the book and decide for yourself. |
