Today I purchased and downloaded the pdf file for Abbott's Dagger Chest. If you own one or have built one, I have a few questions that I would like to ask you about the effect. The plans seem to leave a bit to be desired!

The "Science & Mechanics 1962" mag has plans for a dagger chest that is a bit different than the Abbott's style. It allows you to show the persons head in the box by removing the front panel, replacing the panel, then inserting the daggers. There is advantages to both methods depending on your requirements.

The one shown in the video seems to be similar in method to MAK's flaming head chest. I have not seen the Abbott version in person, nor have I seen the plans. In spite of that, I may be able to offer some thoughts depending on the questions.

To me the Abbott's dagger chest has always been the one used in the Invulnerable Lady illusion, which is very well made. AND I believe plans are available for it.
