I am at the shop tonight working late and cleaning up and I thought I would take a moment to share with some of you some of my Bizarre Magick and Fortune telling related props and artifacts that I used to use in a couple of my bizarre and fortune telling shows over the years.
Many of these items are very rare and since they are so scarcely seen I thought I share them with you. If you have any questions or would like more information about something below feel free to message me as I can only say so much in an open forum as to how I used them. Most of the items below should not be to hard to figure out. That said enjoy this rare peek in to some of my collection. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa120......f123.jpg Back Row The Drinking Fortune Teller circa 1938. Exceptionally rare only 3 known to still exist. The glasses are missing but could be made easily enough. From Henry FinGold Co. In front of that is an older wooden box with skeleton I used as a prop case for a number of years. Creepy Nun can be made to cry blood (just not on command)May also be haunted. Early wedding cup perfect for telling stories and collecting things from the audience. Circa early 20th century could be older. Piece of the London Bridge nice storytelling prop for tales of Jack the Ripper and other Londoner murder mysteries. Mortician handmade headrest. Used dates from the 1940s hundreds if not thousands of bodies rested here. Came from a parlor in Cincinnati, Ohio many years ago. Extremely Rare and one great prop. Scares them just by telling them what it is and how it was used. Way better than a cooling table which is a close second. But this one is a lot easier to carry. Sometimes it gives of a faint scent of those who rested here in high humidity. The mortician never cleaned it or very seldom cleaned it. Spent years in a damp basement of the parlor too. Genuine fortune telling device from the Yourba, obtained from a street fortune teller from a old runner friend of mine. Very Cool and Real fortunetelling item exceptionally rare. Real Yourba iron Bracelet. on stand. This was worn until the lady who wore it passed over then it was removed from her. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa120......cff8.jpg The above image is something that I used to use and carry around when I did seances. It came for the same funeral parlor as the Headrest above and was placed in front of the casket for prayers for the dead. Heavy but does fold up and has its original case which can be seen behind the artifact. The case also shows signs of embalming fluid spills and candle wax. |

That second item reminds me of something I have. It's an old last rites kit from the 40's, and probably made out of the same kind of metal. I should dig that thing out and play with it sometime.
Nice pics, and cool stuffs.

Inspiring collection...and you WERE working late (2:31 am)!!! Thank you for sharing. The headrest is giving me goosebumps...
Although, I don't know why it does when I think about it. It's just a tool of the trade. I guess when it's presented out of context do we begin thinking about it as something more.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
