Thanks Steve, and everyone for making me Green-Screen-aholic. I made many new friends here whom I would have otherwise missed in the real life. And how about the great knowledge I have gained.
Thank you so much. The Magic Café will remain in History.
Yours,
Ivan

WOOOOO HAAAAAA!!!!
10,000 members... what do ya think? Yeah
It´s incredible everything about this place. I have found incredible friends here, a lot of magic, and a great way to improve this art I love so much... MAGIC. And I thank a lot, Steve Brooks and his team here, THANK YOU STEVE, THANK YOU FRIENDS.
And now, as you know, artists from all over the world have noticed about this great news, and here is what musicians all over the world have said about the 10,000 members in The Magic Café (I hope you like it):
- "The Magic Café is like A Shelter From The Storm" (Bob Dylan under the rain)
- "Reading the Magic Café is like a Walk on the Wild Side" (Lou Reed practicing with the invisible deck)
- "Steve Brooks is Bad To The Bones" (George Thorogood & The Destroyers drunk)
- "The Café is like a Stairway to Heaven of Magic" (Led Zeppelin flying with Copperfield)
- "We prefer a Yellow Magic Café, instead of a Green one" (The Beatles under the sea)
- "Hey Ho, Let´s Go, Hey Ho, Let´s... take a cup of coffee" (The Ramones drunk again)
- "Here Comes Your Man" (The Pixies waiting Steve Brooks´ Magic Show)
- "The Café is What I like about you" (The Romantics... falling in love with Steve)
- "I´ll take the rain" (R.E.M. giving a helping hand to Steve to calm down Bob Dylan)
- "Doing Magic in the Streets Of Philadelphia" (Bruce Springsteen teaching magic to David Blaine)
- "I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the Fandango" (Why in the hell are Queen singing this?)
- "It´s a kind of magic" (Queen again? What´s happening here?)
- "The Café is Like A Virgin" (Madonna... yeah yeah.. like a virgin... yeah yeah.. like you?)
- "Let´s take a bottle of Champagne Supernova" (Oasis... in the oasis of magic)
- "Please allow me to introduce myself, I’m a man of wealth and taste, Pleased to meet you, Hope you guess my name" (Steve singing with The Rolling Stones but without revealing his name)
- "She dreams in color, she dreams in red, can’t find a better man..." (Pearl Jam looking for Steve)
- "If the love that I got for you is gone, If the river I cried ain’t that long, Then I’m wrong, yeah I’m wrong, this ain’t a love song" (Bon Jovi wrong; this ain´t a love song, this is a magic post).
- "The Magic Café is a Highway To Hell" (AC/DC fighting Led Zeppelin)
- "Pablo, todo el mundo en el Magic Café me pide que me olvide de tí, asi que para ya de escribir" (Los Planetas... the best Spanish group ever... but they want me to stop writing)
And finally... "If the Café disappears... will be The End Of The World As We Know It... and I will not feel fine" (R.E.M. as Nostradamus).
Hope you could sorry me for the above. I love you people from the Café.
Thanks for everything... and as Radiohead will say "in the Café... Everything is in it's right place".
Take care.
All the best magic,
Pablo Tejero

For a while I was looking for a place where Magicians and Mentalists could converse with one another on the subject true to their hearts. As a dj I have found many substandard sites dealing with music until one day I found the perfect site. It gave me all the news and views I could ever ask for it was up to date but more importantly it was kept going by the people who made up the scene. Imagine if you would for just one second that there was a magic site like this...where you could ask Banachek or Osterlind about their work..where you can get HONEST reviews of effects, books, by being people who are really working...well...
THERE IS!!
Here!!!
You don't get 10000 members by substandard, you get 'em by being the best. Congratulations once more Steve.

Well, I did my bit - I signed up twice!
Congratulations to Steve and the Crew, especially Gene and Mary because I've had more to do with them than the other behind-the-scenes stalwarts (I think that word's okay).

I think the convention idea is a good one, but not in the traditional sense. When I was the Convention Editor for MAGIC Magazine, I wrote a feature about how to put together a cyber-convention. We didn't have near the technology that we have now, nor the strength in terms of numbers that we have on the Café, but now we have both.
So, this could be an idea whose time has come. Imagine...a password protected weekend of magic that you can attend in your underwear! (Maybe that's a bad visual)
But imagine...streaming video of performances, live lectures, special internet offers from the lecturers and dealers available only for the cyber attendees, downloadable lecture notes, interactive chats with the lecturers, everyone in one place at one time, and more!
We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first cyber-convention. The Magic Café could be that place. Better than it was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Scott Wells

Wow, it didn't take long for 5000 to go to 10!
I'm glad I was able to take a part in it. Let's all wait to see the site hit 100,000 members. No doubt, not that far away!
Let's make sure to always support The Magic Café and staff for maintaining and keeping for free a wonderful place for all our magic needs.
Sincerely,
Mack

Congratulations to you Steve and all the staff at "The Magic Café".I couldn't believe it;10.000 members in this short time its really a milestone! Until now my guess was a couple of thousands members but how wrong I was. There is nothing "out there" to compare with! Thank you Steve!
