Moved to Nashville a couple of years ago and due to day job work constraints have not be able to get back into pitching Svengali decks. Been thinking of a way to get back at it, came up with the idea of applying clear address labels to the boxes turning them into souvenir "Nashville Magic Cards".
The weather warmed up this past Saturday so I set up in downtown Nashville on Broadway where the foot traffic is mostly tourists(no pitch joint, just a folding table and amp). Used Don Driver's Building A Tip Bally DVD ideas to gather a small crowd, then went into Don's Svengali pitch. Was only there for about two hours but had a lot of fun with it and sold quite a few decks. Look forward to doing this quite often as the weather warms up! Thanks Don. We do need to do that. I'll buy, I owe you a lot for all I've learned from you. By the way, I even got a few tips from those who did not buy (Had a tip jar on the table!)

I love this guy.At first I thought why even bother hes so bad.But I was so wrong after I watched it a few times. His set-up is perfect. His pitch "magic mouse, magic mouse...one dollar" is great.I bet in one day he makes more money than if you were set up at some state fair.He has NO over head other than stock.(and a trash bag to carry the stock) I love it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGOyQMQB......embedded Enjoy.... |

"Magic Mouse...one dollar, three for two...Magic Mouse."
What a simple set up. Mice in garbage bag, sitting on what looks like a plastic crate with a towel over it. Just keep repeating and rake it! The food cart and other guy seem enthralled! |

Found a western style shirt with cards on it that ties in well when I pitch my "Nashville Souvenir Magic Cards". Since I'm working without a pitch joint to provide "flash", I guess I need to wear the "flash" myself!
Check it out here: http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/wbeach......jpg.html |

Way to cold for me too. Was there last Saturday afternoon for a while before this cold snap hit. Will let you know, I would prefer in the 60s as well.

Does anyone know how to get into contact with Bill Beach.....I heard he was in a coma after a substantial fall down a flight of stairs Friday. I had seen him earlier that day. I'm working the street but just met him and have no real way to contact him and see if the sad rumor is true.
If you're out there Bill please respond or if someone can find out what I can't please update me....many thanks... Dartagnan |

Looking to give pitching a real go in 2016.
Trying to decide where to start. I'm between selling the magic mouse as the guy in the video Don shared does. The second option is to do the same but with the worm. The third is to get setup at events with a low entry fee and perhaps pitch the worm and Svengalis. The first and second option are quite appealing due to the lower overhead and being able to just go out and do it anytime I want as opposed to having to wait for an event date. The third option may prove to be more profitable though. Of course, one could do all three I suppose but not sure I want to dive into all of that at once. lol Thanks for any tips or advice guys. Cheers! |

Sad to say I heard Bill Beach pass away.
Snm,Pitching the mouse is a bad idea.First off I don't know where to get them any more and second the most you can sell them for is $2.00.You really have to sell a ton to make it a good day. I would stick with the squirmles. http://www.toysontv.com/squirmles.htm When you call them try to talk to Carl.Tell him I sent you. All the best.... Don |

I know someone who sells the mouse for $5. There is a way you know! Shh! Here's the secret. Put a pencil in the package!
A pencil you say? Indeed I do. Here you are: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvU71dSPfwY |
