Hey guys I made a quick video review of Tim's table. I was so impressed with it I just had to review it for anyone looking for a great busking table. Apparently I forgot I was wearing my Army fatigues so you might not see me Smile

I have seen Tim's tables firsthand. I've also been considering one, but I'm still not sure it will fit with what I am doing. I can guarantee they are top quality. They are very well made, suited for commercial use and they look good.

I have had Tim's table for almost 10 years and it still works and looks great. Built like a tank. I give him 5 stars for his table.

Tim Flynn tables are just the table top. I use a keyboard stand. Others I have seen use a waiter's tray stand.

Hi Guys, I do not spend much time here on the "Café" but I thought I'd type my name in and see what happened and I happened across this thread.
I know it is rather old but I will write a bit as I am the builder of the Tim Flynn Tables as they have come to be called.
First let me say that I am a bit overwhelmed that my tables have gained ground in the magic community.
it was really quite by accident this happened at all.
I met The Great Gazzo about twelve years ago when I first got into this magical journey and he lectured in Seattle.
I LOVED his lecture and perform lots of his material in my shows.
I do NOT busk but wanted a table to perform Cups And Balls on.
Gazzo told us all that we are too SMALL while performing this effect because we all practice on little close up mats.
he generously allowed me to measure his performing table.
I built myself one from scrap lumber and at my weekly magic session at Tom Frank's "Alki Magic Studio" I pulled it out and many magi there wanted one, and asked "how much would it cost?"
I began building them for friends and honestly... I do not know how it got out from there.
And because I now was p
"Putting my name on it" I had to buy more quality material as far as the wood is concerned.

My first tables were rather heavy as I used 3/4 inch oak for the trim which meant I needed a thicker plywood base to glue and nail the trim to.
that has changed over the years and now I use 1/2 inch Oak trim and have been able to reduce the thickness of the plywood (Often Birch or Oak) base.
I build each by hand and it is laborious as I am not well versed in carpentry.
I am glad you like them.
Thank you for the GREAT video review, it means a lot to me.
Also,
I use mine in all my shows. I have a skirt that I put around it so the legs do not even show.
There has been discussion by magicians about this and it makes me laugh because it really is a matter of one's own ideas and taste.
Some believe the skirt lends itself to hiding something and therefor eschew them. I rather liek the idea that it lends itself to hiding something and leaves things to the imagination of the audience. Even though I do not use the skirt to hide things, other than my legs as I walk behind my table...LOL
The best place to see my tables is on facebook.

I have one, and it's absolutely beautiful. Almost so nice that I don't want to use it! I do have a question for Tim...would affect the material or the usability to run some ScotchGuard over the surface? I don't want it to suddenly start "grabbing" cards or snagging the R/S cards if they were on the surface.

Hi Steve,
I am glad you "love" your table... Please go out and use it... I made it for using! Smile
I think Scotch is just fine...
Mick Ayers scotch guarded his and I think Mikedes above did as well.
Should be just fine!

I have owned 2 of Tim’s tables. They are incredible to work on and are beautiful as well. For any coin workers, I totally suggest the pool felt.
