I purchased and received the magic sword, the directions tell you what to do, but, not how it works. It's fascinating to play with and yet I have no idea how it works.

At a cost of $2.24 I think I'd buy and extra and take it apart to find out how it worked if it was eating at me that much

I think Card Warp cost $1.50 when I first bought it back in the 70's. If it was released today, it would probably come with a DVD and cost $30.

Alright... I shouldn't tell, because it is that good... but...

Feel A Color - Royal Magic

I have never seen anyone figure it out. Not even magicians.
It's just four pieces of paper. Totally examinable. Fools the pants off people.
You can even make it yourself if you know how and what paper to use.

Some great suggestions in this thread Smile

I also like B'Wave: - it never seizes to amaze people. On the downsite it is much used so you'll have a spectator once in a while who knows it ... .

I bought a mummy based upon this thread and the Magic Review - looks like it might be fun Smile I wasn't going to buy any more tricks, but this was cheap ...

Might look into getting some of the other cheap things on theis thread. Great idea Smile

My own contribution is the get-your-age cards (which I turned into UK bingo cards, they just pick a lucky number).

My current favorite is a silly paddle trick I bought locally, here in the Philippines. Not sure where to buy online. Not exactly a real trick, more of a joke. But it sure is fun - and the kids love it!

It is a red paddle with a black oval on one side... a black cockroach on the other. You show 'both sides' as the oval. Then it switches to a roach, and you show 'both sides'. Then you turn it around and give them the handle. You hold on to the box end and they hold the handle - and a rubber cockroach on a spring pops out.

Probably the best p150 I ever spent ha ha ($3.50 USD)

Here is a not so good video of it:

Oh that reminds me - that 'card' trick where the cockroach (or some other bug) ends up on the spectators hand - that's fun and cheap.
