I bought a Goshman sponge tooth last year and never used it I have a use for it now and noticed it is a bit dull and tanned. Almost like it is sick, I figure bleach will ruin it so any way to whiten it but keep the flexibility (ie no crusty paint)
Any one successful at whitening and brightening sponge? |

Sorry to say no, that is natural process of decay for sponge when exposed to sunlight and air. Sponge products should be stored in an air tight plastic freezer bag with as much of the air squeezed out without flatting the sponge. Then placed is a dark or container so it will not be exposed to sunlight.

While the air was squeezed out it was in a bag in a dark draw never used.
Think it has lest to do with light and air but materials used to make the foam. |

Try Oxyclean. don't use bleach. It will dissolve the sponge.
Found that out the hard way and lost a complete set of Goshman rabbits, including the jumbo.

You should try to just buy a new one. You will probably spend more in cleaning products and aggravation than it will cost to replace.

I ended up dye blue for gag rather than not use it.
Michael , I would ot buy a new one as for the price, if it yellows sealed in plastic, it is not worth buying another. |
