Hi Everyone,
I just released an Aronson version of The Ultimate Mnemonica trainer called... The Ultimate Aronson Trainer. I posted about the Mnemonica Trainer in the apps section when I launched it. Unlike other "trainers" this is actually a game... it was put together with a lot of thought behind it the learning process, using gamification to motivate you to memorize the stack quickly and in a fun way. I hope you will read the description below and check it out and let me know any feedback you may have! Here is the Link to the Aronson Trainer: http://magicalexcellence.com/learn-arons......trainer/ And here is the Link to the Mnemonica Trainer: http://magicalexcellence.com/learn-mnemo......trainer/ Here is the description... it is has the same description of the Mnemonica App as it is essentially the same thing. WHY THIS ARONSON STACK APP? I’ve been searching for the perfect Aronson Stack trainer for a long time, something that was engaging, made me want to learn, and something that actually worked. So, after wasting time and money on other apps I decided to make my own, built with everything I wanted that the other apps simply did not provide. FUN AND ADDICTING The Ultimate Aronson Trainer is not actually a “trainer”… it is a game. I realized I liked playing games like Candy Crush and Dots, and if I could make learning the Aronson Stack as addicting as these games I would be more likely to stick with it. You start out on Level 1 which presents you with a card, 4 possible answers as to what number in the stack the card is, 3 lives, and 30 seconds. Each time you match the card with the correct number you get a point. (As you go on to different levels the questions change format... read below) 7 Points to move to the next level and you get 1 star 10 Points is 2 stars 12 Points is 3 stars LEARNING IN CHUNKS The game is broken up into 7 stages with 8 levels each: Stage 1: Cards 1- 13 Stage 2: Cards 14-26 Stage 3: Cards 1- 26 Stage 4: Cards 27-39 Stage 5: Cards 39- 52 Stage 6: Cards 27-52 Stage 6: Cards 1-52 This is because breaking the Aronson Stack into bite sized chunks will maximize your ability to learn it quickly and retain the knowledge. MIX UP LEARNING METHODS Each stage has 8 levels, each with a different way to learn the stack. When you mix up how to learn this accomplishes two things… 1. It keeps you interested 2. It prepares you for real world situations LEVELS 1, 2, AND 3: THE BASICS These are the basic “what card is what number” and “what number is what card” multiple choice questions. If you get an answer wrong it will show you what the right answer is. Using this method, if you have never looked at the Aronson Stack before, you will be able to memorize each set in about 15-20 minutes. These levels are perfect for learning the basics. LEVELS 4, 5, AND 6: WHAT COMES BEFORE AND WHAT COMES AFTER Other trainers give you the option to choose what number is what card and what card is what number… In real world scenarios you need to know what comes after and what comes before a card on the bottom or the top of the deck. So three levels are dedicated to just having you answer what comes next or what comes before. These levels are perfect for cementing the basics and improving speed. LEVEL 7: NO MORE MULTIPLE CHOICE At this point our minds start to get used to multiple choice. In the real world there we do not get 4 options to choose from, we have to KNOW what number the card is. On this level you there is no multiple choice, you type in the number the card shown is. LEVEL 8: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER Level 8 mixes all of the techniques together to test your mastery of the stage. MASTER THE ARONSON STACK If you get 3 stars on every level, I guarantee that you will have mastered the Aronson Stack to the point where you don’t even have to think “what number is this card” or “what is after the 3 of hearts” when you are performing in the real world. You will just know… |

Wish this was around when I was learning. Any chance of adding a generic one for personal stacks? Would pay more for that.
Best, Jed |

Hi Sam!
First of all thank you very much for this game!!! This is wonderful! So much fun and once you finish all the levels, you have a really strong grip on the stack. I never had the patience or will to learn a stack even though I had a plethora of false shuffles under my thumb. Now I finally have this weapon to use and explore. I downloaded the Tamariz Stack trainer 2 days ago and after 6 solid playing hours and "beating" the game, I performed ACAAN for the first time and blew my wife away. THANK YOU so much!!! P.S. Anybody who wants the Aronson Stack for Android, can have it, because it is the PlayStore already! All the best Aljaz |

I know the AS cold BUT I still got this and like it a lot. It reminds me of something you might see inside Nintendo brain Age game. If you make more of the same, I'd get.

This looks absolutely fantastic. I'll be getting it soon! I'm up to 37 of the cards memorized. But man, this just like looks like the absolute best way to practice! Consider my $3 or so yours!

By far the best device I could use in order to memorize. While I had the book for a while, and made flash cards out of an old deck, this app made it easy and fun. Extremely addictive, extremely helpful, and 100% worth the small cost. Thanks for a great app!

At first I was wary about spending money on something that had plenty of free apps already made for it, but this app is well worth the $2.99. I bought the mnemonica deck, but I assume the aronson stack app is very similar in quality.
Pros: Multiple levels that build your ability Pleasant art style Set up in a game-like fashion to encourage you to continue studying Cons: It has a cost of $2.99 I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in learning a memorized deck. |

Fantastic, and I've only just started.
I've been using Aronson's Stack almost 15 years, but I wanted to learn this after years of owning Mnemonica and recently buying Nyman's Code. Can't wait to play. Good job magicalexcellence! Larry |

Bringing this thread back from the dead just to say, this is amazing.
Great job, it's extremely addictive.. I feel like I'm actually playing a game (because it is one duh), and most importantly it's fantastic at keeping score, so I can't put it down!!! I would say in 10 minutes I know as much as I did with 1 or 2 hours of brute force. Plus, those 10 minutes were fun, really fun. If your struggling to learn a stack, this is the app for you. To think, for 3 bucks you will be learning some of the best magic and mentalism possible, and all through a game |

This app is in my top 2 methods to remember the stack. The app really helps especially with the randomness of the tasks mixed into the later levels. Not just a card/number system but card/number/comes before/comes after. I have experienced a lot of short term memory problems after all my cancer treatment, surgeries (and just plain old age) This app not only helped - it stuck I am still working on the last 1/4 to 1/3 but I take long breaks from it from time to time. Absolutely no fault of the app. I still HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants to start out with some memdeck stuff beyond the simple stacks like Si Stebbins (which is still great IMO)
The other being the Memory Arts PDF Aronson edition https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic-......edition/ They also have one for Tamariz https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic-......ry-arts/ And recently released one for Woody Argon's stack https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic-......edition/ Very well done books - like a comic book or a graphic novel. Also the positions and images for any card or position could be changed to something "You" relate to better. Learn the method and fill in you own images and stops on your memory path.
