I find it very difficult to get it by "feel". Can I use a thumb count instead?? Thanks, Andrew Lee Asher V.I.P. 418 Posts Posted: Jun 22, 2002 5:20am       Yes, you can use a thumb count to get a break underneath the top two cards. Whatever is easiest for you to accomplish under pressure. I don’t use any counts to get my break when I perform the Diving Board Double. All I do is practice lifting two cards by the long side with my thumb. You can feel the thickness difference between one and two cards with some practice. I just sit there while watching a movie and practice feeling the thickness.
