Café Friends,
I have finally decided to take the plunge and publish some of my best card material for the magic community. In the past, I've released limited edition lecture notes but this was always on a very small scale. Local magic clubs, etc. Now I'm looking to put my card material out for a more widespread audience. I'm looking for some advise on where to go from here. I've always self-published in the past. I plan to advertise in Genii, Magic and here on the Café. Any advise to those who have done this before me how I should move forward. Scott

Many superb magicians are publishing e-books or ekse their physical books have been converted to digital format. Names include Harry Lorayne, Peter Duffie, Greg Webb, Aldo Colombini, Scott Guinn, and many more. In fact, much of L&L's physical books are now also available as e-books. Just a thought! |

We can do both, print and digital, but we prefer the latter.

Joe M. Turner recently got his lecture notes reprinted and bound, and the result is very professional. You may look him up online and drop him a line to see who did the publishing.

The self-publishing industry is big and becoming much simpler and easier to use for everyone. Amazon has also gotten into the market with CreateSpace (https://www.createspace.com/). You can quickly get an idea of how much it will cost to publish with them. There are some other similar publishers too.
