Oh wow.
So you think just discussing what is presented is bashing? That is just stupid sorry. You said discussion was fine. But in reality all you want is just like everyone rose to praise you no matter what. I have not bashed this, and said it was not crap and probably worth the money. There are some issues which obviously you don't care about you just want people to buy it without thinking. Puts you in the exact same category as everyone peddling crap. Whether this is crap or not.

Thank you so much man This means the world coming from someone who is well versed in the craft! It would have been easy to jump aboard the bashing on this thread, it means a great deal that you took the time to watch it and give some positive feedback! [/quote] This is exactly the point being made. Give me a break! With absolutely no disrespect to solarzar (who I really do respect) 5 years is very minimal experience when compared to those here you are directly dissing. I would bet that Danny is easily very likely the most working stage hypnotist in the U.S. (as well as internationally) if you are at all familiar with the enterprise he has created. I have been doing this for over 35 years, worked with Ormond and also trained with him and others that were true Masters and pioneers of our art (and of course some of today's names as well-Geofrey, Wendy, Jerry Valley, Gerry Kein and almost everyone else as well). Many of us here have achieved the live performing industry pinnacle of over 5000 live shows in our career. We have toured and appeared on national and international t.v. Others here have also had decades of live stage hypnosis experience. This again just shows your lack of intelligence of our community, who you are talking to/with, and really what you are talking about. You don't really seem to want discussion of those in the know and in the industry. As Danny said, you only seem to want discussion with those with little or no experience that praise your content. This whole thread could be helping you but you are taking it in an entirely different direction. So sad. |

Also, so nice to see another Café post where the OP posts such a thread only to completely disappear and not participate.

Mindpro; you got me! I didn't post this thread and I never asked for anyone's advice. If I had, then I would very much stay impartial and take all criticism and praise. I am proud of this product and I neither advertised it nor ask for any feedback on the Café.

Yea unless it is praise then you want it.
Yep it is true. You offer absolutely nothing new. That attitude is very old her.

I have not bashed the product although I am puzzled why someone who is claiming to be so successful would give his personal show away for less than $50? It doesn't make any real business sense. Its just another cheap product on the market giving away professional secrets for peanuts. Plus the magic company only cares about getting it out to as many people as possible as it doesn't affect them in the slightest. And this means it is being given away for less than $25 as I know the margins these Magic distributors make?
I don't understand why anyone can be proud of making such a dumb business decision if they are as successful as they say? My question is still in my head WHY? |

I purchased this on the basis that it was how a stage hypnotist does his show. I didn't expect it to be groundbreaking but hopefully entertaining and instructive. As I have other DVDs I feel I can make a comparison. I personally found it entertaining and instructive. I have paid more and received less information, than I received from this dvd. It was also entertaining where as some I have watched have been quite boring. It could be argued that certain things could have been more covered and I can certainly understand why people would want that.
Overall I feel the product was worth buying and I did enjoy watching his full show. |

Simple: It's not a business decision at all. Teaching mentalism (and in this case hypnosis) is not my business, I genuinely enjoy doing it, seeing as how I have a viral YouTube video on hypnosis, I get dozens of emails a week asking where one can learn it, and many unsatisfied customers of other products, I decided to provide an answer. Who determines the pricing for these things? When did 500$ for a full course become the right range? And if sold this for 400$, what would you complain about then?

You could sell it for any amount of money and it would not help.

Ok so now we know why. Because dozens of people ask you you just give it to them.
Fair enough now we know. |

Another thread where some very seasoned people diminishing a product they have not even seen.
You do not bring anything new. It is too cheap. I do not like your attitude. You know nothing about this (I do). It is the wrong color……. My question is also WHY? Watch the product and then make constructive criticism. Then do not go ballistic when you are questioned. It is like Danny 5 years old. I have watched the DVD, and will say. “It is a good introduction to hypnosis”. You could attack me and ask. WHO ARE YOU? The simple answer is “nobody”, and this production is for “nobody”. Maybe I will become somebody because of this DVD. I just don’t want to become 5 years again! |

Chances of becoming a "somebody" with so many cheapo products hurting the market are almost zero. You obviously don't understand the market or the business. And you don't want to listen to those that know what they are talking about.
that's the reason why. There is no reason to sell cheap products other than to make a quick buck or get some attention. Giving away a full show that you are supposed to be making a lot of money from doesn't make any business sense. There is absolutely nothing new in those clips. Of course everything might be new to you. But to us its old stuff. There is nothing new Ive seen since I started 25 years ago. And I've seen a lot of stuff over the years. |

From what I can find of hypnosis shows, and what I've seen in person, they're all pretty much the same anyway. What does it matter if one guy teaches how he does his show?
Seriously, you could play Bingo on these shows. Laughter Police, check. Dance competition, check. Sleep Gun, check. Body Building competition, check. XRay vision, check. Celebrity in the audience, check. Fishing trip, check. Even the guys I really admire all do pretty much the same show.

One guy? there are hundreds doing it and many many thousands buying those products. that's what matters. The last thing the market needs is another one.

Why not? Just makes the unique shows more valuable. This is like magicians saying that tricks like the Rising Card are too over saturated - and then David Blaine comes along and scores a million dollar show doing just that kind of trick.
There may be more sludge to work through at the bottom level, but once a hypnotist establishes themselves as unique and interesting, there's not much to be compared to. If you're not doing the same cookie cutter show everyone else is doing, then someone doing that cookie cutter show is not really your competition. People who care about quality of entertainment recognize that quality when they see it. If you have an established career and are booked regularly then no one below that level should really concern you unless they start ripping off your show.

AND the PROBLEM therefore is having people teach the same stupid crap and then we end up where we are with so much being exactly the same. You ae MAKING THE POINT while arguing with the point. Sort of funny in and of itself. I would prefer to have more people doing different things rather than the cookie cutter weekend expert shows. It would be better for THEM. It has no impact on me either way, other than I am appalled when people are taken unfair advantage of.
