Could this be successfully performed at a wedding as part of a parlour show (ie just before the speeches and after the meal)?
Best wishes, Danny

Some people have problems letting go of a pattern once it has been seen. If they see the cards up close first, and then slowly back away from the cards, they might back 5-6 steps away and still claim they can see the details. They can't really. It is better to test it the other way around - start from a distance and move closer. |

For the spectators on stage (for instance the bride and broom) this is a normal deck of cards, where you could force a card on both of them for instance, then you would be able to read their mind and reveal their card(s) by drawing it on a board. For the couple it is strong, because (hopefully) you did a good force that both believe in a miracle that both had chosen the same card. For the audience it is even stronger, as they have seen a blank deck, where the whole selection process seemed to be a weird game where the couple choses blank cards and make a card up in their mind. And that for both the card is identical, and that you would be able to predict it! I hope you get the basic idea. Certainly you can do other routines with it. But nevertheless, the experience of the magic effect is happening for both, the spectator on stage, as well as for the group surrounding. When Tom first got the prototype deck last May 2015 during a small convention in Germany, he immediately performed the routine in a room of 40 people in a way as if he always would have done it. Nobody had a clue. Very impressive.

Both pick a card each from the deck of factory blanks, then draw the values they "see" on a cardboard. The cardboards are turned around and are shown - let's say 6 of Clubs and 10 of spades.. different cards. Then they put their rings back on their fingers again, takes a card each again and draws again. This time they both draw the same card on their cardboards - let's say 2 of hearts. Edit: Oops, I didn't see that Christian suggested the same thing above. |

OK guys, I can not stand it any longer.
You can order Factory Blanks here: http://www.card-shark.de/index.cfm?page=......egory=13 There you can find the Factory Blanks. Don't ask for a video, it will come, just trust the others who are raving about the deck. They are all right...

Just placed my order as well.
As a side question, is there a chance that this technique could be used for printing words on cards? Because if I could have custom decks made, I can think of several things I could use that for. I would certainly be interested if you had this as an option in the future. |

Is this similar to 100th Monkey in any way? It's a little bit difficult to ensure a perfect performance with that on stage.

Tom is almost right, but I think we are only using half of the high/low frequency principle, as with Einstein/Marilyn there is a shift in the picture when changing the distance. The Factory Blanks are using only the part for near distance while the far distance information is not there. Do we have to call it the 50th Monkey then?!
When designing the deck, my final design ended up in a purely mathematical solution, where values equal out each other, either on the cards themselves or by the human eye. Btw, I struggled long with the court cards as there is so much detail in it, but my friend Patrick Lehnen finally had the perfect idea to solve the problem.

Any chance of seeing a few of the cards as the 'lone spec' would see them? A picture paints a thousand words, etc.
