I got a set from Christopher in person at ECSS last year, and I think they are marvelous. They don’t look suspect at all. Yes, regular paint chips that are prevalent in paint stores are somewhat different, but it just doesn’t matter. It falls into the area of items that are “commonly known but never considered.” No one puts any thought into paint chips, and all of them are a little different anyway. Treat them casually, like you expect anyone to know about them, and they will be accepted with ease.

Hello!
Doug here. The Iris Deck is ingenious! I have worked with Svengali and R&S for years and thought I knew it all. The Iris Deck is neither. There is a new technology involved as I would expect from this company. I was delighted to accidently find the five extra cards make it sort of repeatable with a different color! What a bonus! This new tech makes it almost impossible for it to expose itself, no matter how carelessly you handle and drop the cards. You cannot handle a R&S deck or Svengali like this. This is everything they say it is! It works TWICE, flawlessly! Man! I am glad Penguin cut the price on these! This is one of the best purchases I have made in a while! Now seeing what they have done with G*IST, Taylor is one to watch! Doug |

Recently got this on sale too. Worth every penny. Now looking for a backup.
The method is clean but the look is just gorgeous. |

Do the included effects and forces require manual sleights? I am not a card guy at all but this does seem intriguing. Somehow I missed this when it first came out, likely as I was not in the market for cards.

No sleights! The deck takes care of everything for you.

Sounds good. Does it do much more than simply force a colour though as I don't need that? If so, will be adding to my New Year's list.

Generally, those who buy it already have something in mind they want to use if for but there are some VERY nice routines that come with the deck. Christopher |
