I assume whom ever is in charge of the puzzle reads this forum. I am working on the puzzle and would like to know how to submit an answer.

My guess is that there are more steps to the puzzle and you will find out how to submit the answer when the puzzle is truly complete. Its a long road.

There should at least be an avenue to report to and get the subsequent clues.

This is pure speculation of course, but I am keeping my eyes open for additional clues.

Please forgive this newbie to the dark arts. I just ordered Oraculum, but haven't got a clue about where to find this puzzle. Anyone care to give this old geezer some help? Thanks.

Update: the hidden, public puzzle to gain membership without invitation was finally solved. There will be no additional puzzles for the foreseeable future. Addendum: this is no longer accurate. There is a new puzzle. It is exponentially more difficult than the original. If the puzzle is solved before additional clues are added in May, the crafty sleuth will not only gain client status but also free copies of multiple products.
The first puzzle is to find the first clue, good luck

One path leads me to somewhere not far from North Myrtle Beach, but this may well be completely wrong. Jumped out at me considering the location of ECSS is Myrtle Beach, and this was where the last scroll manifested.

So...what's my point? The next shiny object is shiny? I appreciate that the Spooky Forum primarily exists to market items for sale. I buy few objects these days. My focus is presentation. Be that as it is... It will take me months or a year to work out an avenue for Fathoms. M. Hasbun's offering should fit right in much more quickly. . I am beholden to Spooky for alerting me to these precious objects. I respect the creators & business's that offer such useful items.. Mr.Vic ( a true gent) Prof. B.C. ( though we have tussled & he has an ego equal to the size of Orson Welles ... not a bad thing! ) M.Hasbun and others.... the real gold is the thought & care you put into presenting such Peculair Antiques. It's never the thing itself. It's always you. You yourself are the most peculair thing. Spooky often seems primarily a marketplace. Which isn't a bad thing. But there's not much art in that. Well. . except for artful marketing.

An intringuing site that, clearly, hide some gorgeous artefacts, a mysterious and puzzling puzzle … I cherish the journey provided by PA. What a wonderful and captivating way to delve into history and to seek knowledge, wisdom and understanding!

Yeah, you are right. I was venting. Mostly I inhibit that aspect. I do want people to enjoy themselves. Sometimes ( as you noticed ) I don't censure an opinion. Of course, feel free to ignore such posts.

I think I may have the answer, but I have had to dig deep, very deep. The powers that be can contact me here or email budscott@gmail.com

The mysterious scroll has spoken its first words
Yesterday night, I was looking at the mysterious scroll and when I tried to put it back in its box , I noticed a different texture inside the scroll lid. It was a rectangle 1cm by 4cm of the same colour of the lid but different texture like a piece of paper. I have not seen it before nor all the other people who helped me in ECSS to open the scroll. It was not detectable by sight, only by touch. I hesitated twice (or maybe 3 times) before to scratch it away and I find a list of number behind it. This does not strike me as a coincidence and I have no doubt there is a link with this thread. I thought you would like me to share with you my founding. Hopefully this will mean something to someone in here and help you in your puzzle quest. The numbers are : 9 80 409 109 Good luck, The Southern Guardian of The Scroll (Dr SH) |

Could be a red herring, we have no proof that the puzzle and the scroll are related.
But thanks

This thing was driving me nuts until I thought about some old parchment documents that I've inherited from my grandfather. May be they will help. It took me quite a while to find them in a musty box on the attic
They contain what appears to be a simple medieval fable, but they also show weird symbols. There are handwritten numbers in the margin. May be they make sense to you?: 1111 201 80 (0) 7000/700 201 90 1111 100 80 (0) 7000/700 900 7000/700 409 400 Cheers, Luc. |
