I would also like to thank you for your usually fast actions when blatant trolling is reported. Not only in the recent loss of a beloved magic icon with a lot of false speculation but in all the other reports lately in the past week before (on other subjects).

I got attacked by a troll on the kiddies forum, but it was my replies that were deleted. The troll was allowed post unhindered.

Troll alert.
I am apparently narrow minded, lack a "global perspective", and am a hypocrite. Maybe I am all of those things, but maybe I'm not, It seems to me that the very point of a moderated forum is to prevent trolling. Maybe y'all see it differently. But I don't really feel like coming here anymore. The trolls make me feel bad. |

I've reported several trolls. Granted it was pretty egregious stuff.
I don't feel like a tattle tale. I feel like I am protecting a site that I enjoy. In the end the Mods make the call but I'm willing to do my part. -Mary Mowder |

As Mary said, it's not being a tattle tale but an effort to help protect the Café. The few mods we have need all the help they can get from the membership.

I have chosen to do things my way--olive branch via PM.
So while I appreciate your "report the troll" policy, I figure that maybe we members of the forum might also try to act as adults with good manners, Of course, probably none of the moderators would accuse me of having good manners or acting like an adult. But that's a subject for another thread. |
