Does anyone here know which Gaff DVD has the best PDF Templates for making and printing your own cards?

Not too sure about templates, but, there are certainly several decent gaff/gimmick dvds/lectures. Marty Grams - The Art of Card Splitting etc
However, if it's simple card templates you need, you can get them free from sites like http://www.makeplayingcards.com/design/c......rds.html |

I ordered 4 Army of 52 Decks last year from Austria or Malaysia, cant remember, and they were counterfeit. The color of the backs did not match standard Bicycle. I decided to keep them since the Gaffs Sides were perfect. I plan to split them and rejoint them with real Bike Backs. I am also getting ready to order Cameron's Killer Gafts and BBM's Gaftastic. Just recently got the BBM Tool Box. Awesome product.

@Lempereur,
You'll definitely want to check this out: http://magicnook.com/magicbob/Main%20Catalog%20Page.htm (I've only gotten IHCT Vol. 1 & 2) MagicBob is a member here, and very helpful. There are three volumes (to IHCT), but the third isn't available yet. There is a lot of arts & crafts, and he discusses the tools and other things you'll need to print your own gaffs. If you buy the first two, when the third comes out, he'll give you the multi-volume discount, you'll just need to ask. Dave |

All three volumes of the "I Hate Card Tricks" series will be available as a discounted combo. As Dave mentions above, I'm happy to discount Volume 3 for customers who have already purchased the 2-Volume combo. I also provide .pdf files for printing custom gaff cards with my other e-books: Kards for Kids, Sleightly Wacky, and Sticky Situations.

I also have a 4 year old Granddaughter that I am training. She can already hold 4 British Pennys between each of her fingers and thumbs in both hands! I would be interested in the full color versions. Also, is there any problem printing them out?

The .pdf e-books include lots of color photos that teach the construction of props and teaching of the effect in addition to the gaff card graphics. In addition to the images embedded in the .pdf files, I also send high resolution .jpg image files of all the gaff card designs for printing purposes. The process of printing the cards involves a few steps, but it's not too difficult (essentially, remove the coating of the cards with acetone, attach the card to a sheet of paper to ensure proper alignment, run it through the printer, and then re-apply a new clear coat finish). I include a free step-by-step guide to printing custom cards. There's another thread about the books in the e-book forum. I don't want to hijack this thread plugging my books, so I'll post an announcement there as soon as the new book is complete and the "mega-combo" is available. @Lempereur, funny you should mention it. I just tried printing my first card following MagicBob's directions. It looks good so far, but I need to let it dry a while before I put the fixative on.
Going to try to make Mismade Queen from IHCT Vol. 1 I was thinking about going all in as well for the other ebooks, let me know what you think. Dave |

I've been using Scotch Magic Matte tape, and I don't like it. Is there some other tape I should be using?
I have some cheap thin plastic packing tape, or is there a genuine cellophane tape? https://www.amazon.com/JVCC-CELLO-1-Cell......041Q8QGO Dave |

In most of the effects, it's ok for the tape to be seen since it's not part of the "secret." In instances where the tape shouldn't be seen, it's not out in the open anyway. If you're not happy with the results of that brand, you could try some other varieties. But I find that many of them are quite shiny and show up more than the matte tape.

Thanks MagicBob.
I came up with a method, based on how you explain on how to print cards, to cut precisely on a craft cutter. I use a Silhouette Cameo, add print & cut marks, and then add cut lines as appropriate (after creating the template) This way I've found I can get (as in Mismade Queen) three exact matches for the cell. You've given me new life, as I enjoy magical arts & crafts a great deal. Dave |

In fact, once you put it on, you have to cut it off. The only drawback I that it might be shiny from some angles. You can get it on Amazon without the tape gun for about $4. https://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Packaging-......gun+tape

I do believe that you could make a hardback printed copy, with a dvd of graphics and templates included, and get top dollar for it.

@Lempereur,
Thanks for the link, I'll have to check that out. I did pick up some Gorilla Clear Repair tape for another project, but I doubt I'd need something that hefty (darn near like duct tape) Dave |

For a while, I had some trade paperbacks produced, but I wasn't really satisfied with the quality so I discontinued them and kept these publications available only as e-books. Now that Volume 3 of "I Hate Card Tricks" is finally complete, I might have some time to pursue the possibility of producing them as a hardback anthology.
