Some card stab routines require considerable facility forcing or controlling cards. Could someone who has this comment on the skill level required by this one?

I love the effect of card stab, I collected a lot of information. The trick you are talking about is not difficult to do, you need to do a trick and a few rehearsals. Zabaletta in the video refers to many books with a similar effect - which in itself is already a treasure!
