At last Art of Magic have managed to get Alberto to redo his fatastic ONE dvd in english,to say I am excited is an understatement, click on the link above to see a Full performance of Alberto's 18 minute act and then just click on the payment link so we can get more of his brilliant material. on this dvd you will learn a great 4 card double change as an opener,a blindfold ace cutting,3 card divination with an excellent kicker.card to box routine sheer brilliant,Alberto tips his card to wallet routine also which is very sneaky ,beautifully constructed and his act finishes with his handling of omni deck. i really cannot find a bad thing to say about this download,i not involved with it in any way I just enjoy great magic and that is whatr you are getting here. |

Despite promising myself that I would not buy anything else for a while, I picked this up as I was very impressed with Alberto's Penguin Live lecture.
I enjoyed being fooled by the card to wallet sequence in 'Cuffed' (the load was done in a very unusual way), despite having seen the routine and explanation a couple of years previously (both Cuffed and The Building are on the Penguin lecture). It was very good to see this presented (in English) to a small audience, so you could see flow and timing. I wouldn't recommend that anyone copies the whole performance as is, but it would be very easy to use as a framework (putting your own presentational spin on it). Alberto does a great job in a second language (English). Some sleights are taught, although 'basics' such as a DL are not. Probably best for those past the beginner stage. Some credits and references are shown on screen, so you can follow up various moves in more detail, should you wish. The card to box is clever and different to the normal JC Wagner card under drink variants, although not entirely impromptu. To do the whole set (as can be seen on the full performance), you would need a deck, CTW, an Omni block and some thumb cuffs. There is also some other very minor prep required, but which does not really cost money. Well done to Art of Magic for putting up a full demo (but I still hate streaming only content..) - if you like what you see and think you can work most of it out, you still really should buy it. As well as doing the 'right thing', I would be surprised if you didn't learn several new things from not just the mechanics, but also from the performance construction. Recommended. |
