Of course he is using Alliance Pale Crepe Gold bands. The color bands Joe sells only come in size 19 as far as my research has gone. (and I looked a long time before he finally got them up for sale). I use #19 for almost everything and love the additional colors (as well as my Pale Crepe Golds).

As far as the ones I ordered from Joe yesterday, I figure it probably comes in a fairly small envelope since a bag of rubber bands doesn't take up a lot of space, so I anticipate I should get it in my mailbox Friday.

The one thing I can really say for the Alliance bands is that they really are perfect when it comes to performing a linking band effect (think Hondo's Infinitum routine, or Rasmus' Totally Crazy Bands).

Yes, the Pale Crepe Golds will always be my go-to for certain routines but I still love the colors that are now available for use in routines that do not rely on the slight transparency. I have found way more routines that I can use the color bands for. Even the routines that I "prefer" the pale crepe for can be done with the colored band though. But... I have a pound each of pale crepe #16 and #19 from before Joe released the "Rainbow Line" so I will still use them for some routines.
Actually, I can't say for sure (because I do not have any), but the Michael Ammar "Mellow Yellow" color bands look a lot like the pale crepes.

I'm still working on the majority of Joe's routines. Trying to absorb the material. Got a couple of them down pat. Want too master them all.

Unfortunately, it's just not my style to wear rubber bands on my wrist so I'll have to pass on this one. Many of these effects that Joe has created look beautiful though.

Videoman, maybe not the colored ones, how about the executive black & white bands on his site.
I can see myself using those when I'm wearing my sports coat (slightly modified, the coat, not the bands <grin>) Dave |

Where are the best practice rubberband as in cheap store bought. I got some from staples could not do much before they broke aka 2 times a lot of messed up ones I just want to practice before I spend 15 on bands or more.

Nothing you buy is going to perform like Joe's bands, unless you treat them with ElastriFlex (or an alternative).
It's not like you only get 10-20 bands from Joe, it's over 300. Dave |

Agreed - the best practice bands are Joe's. I would recommend to anyone who wants to perform rubber band magic that the only bands worth considering for any application (excepting the particular card magic ones I mentioned) would be Joe's bands as #1, and Pale Crepe Golds as perhaps a far second. You get so many for the price, it'll last you a LONG time. For example, I bought a small pack of rainbow bands back November 2015, and I've probably still got 90% of the bands brand new in the bag, despite performing with them fairly frequently. Do yourself a favor if you want to do rubber band magic and get some, the time and hassle saved alone are more than what they cost.

Joe provided a generous amount of treated bands for the price. I really, really like 'em. I imagine for the investment these will last a long, long time. I have no complants.

Thanks everyone I only ask because I don't know if rubberband magic is for me. It's not really my style but it looks good
