Yes she receives money unless the connection doesn't work for that person, then she doesn't take any.
Suicides are not treated differently in afterlife. You do see your life and decisions you made along the way in a time of self review and your spirit team is with you for support but they are not judging per se, just supporting. You are the one taking in your life path and seeing the decisions along the way that got you where you ended up. When my wife was growing up she had this images of an evil person in her room and closet that scared her. Later when she grew up she became obsessed with serial killer stories. She had asked to not be made aware of her "gifts" till later in life so she could experience things without that extra knowledge. After the "veil" lifted she found that their were people in the spirit world that hadn't made the transition completely, they hadn't gone to the white light as they say. She learned how to get help for them to cross over from the other side and by telling the spirit what was waiting for them. One night a couple of her guides brought this spirit that was not crossed over to her. She immediately recognized him as the spirit in the closet that scared her as a child. He was a serial killer similar to Jack the ripper but it wasn't him. He had killed several prostitutes and felt he was going to hell and he didn't want to cross over. Anyway to shorten story, he did get crossed over and the next day received a message from him "thank you" as he was at peace. What's interesting in reflection is that she was no longer intrigued by serial killer stories. It has all been part of the conditioning to make her the right person that he had been waiting on for a couple hundred years till the right person was here to help cross him over. As the spirit world tells us, there are no coincidences. |

Thanks for the answer -
If it's not a secret how much is the reception? What was the maximum amount paid for the entire history of her practice? I need this for my personal statistics.
I love the magic & history of magic! My favorites magicians - Dai Vernon, Max Malini, Fielding West, Michael Finney, Jeff Hobson, Bob Sheets, Nick Lewin, Harry Murphy, Dick Oslund- great showmen of magic!

I've always been a skeptic for people talking to the spirit world, although I do believe in the spirit world.
This seems like "the real deal". Sleepy |

Bob, it is always good to read stories like these. I have to say from the outset, I am sceptical about the subject matter of "speaking with the dead". I should add that I have spent time with "mediums" who felt they genuinely had this ability. Alas, they don't. I even know a few of the household names who claim this stuff. Suffice to say, some are just in it for the money, others feel that they help with the grieving process, blah, blah, blah. In conclusion, in all the years I have been mixing in those circles and all the shows I have paid to see, I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen the "real deal". Of course that does not mean that there is no such thing, rather, I have yet to meet one. All I would ask your wife if I met her, is the same questions I have asked all of the other mediums I have spoken with in the past. That is, why such general questions, such as, "I have a father figure sitting here beside me" - when you enter the other world, do you forget your own name, and if you do know who you are, why not just say it! I have a good story to tell about this, in fact it was a question I once asked a medium in a packed theater - story is too long to write here, but I am afraid the answer I was given was far from convincing. In regards to your own story, it is a bit of a paradox insofar as, when your wife told the sitter about the whispering in her ear, the sitter said how did you know this. However, at the start of your story, the sitter told your wife that she always believed her Father was alive! That is some ability for a living person to have, i.e. be able to whisper in the ear of someone miles away at roughly the same time on a frequent basis. Anyway, I could go on, but what is the point. Good luck to you and your wife, I say. At this stage of my life I am more interested in your stories of being the warm up act for the Sex pistols. Now that would be what I call "Raising the Dead"!

Inner circle wannabe: sorry I wasn't clear. The client thought her birth father was alive since she didn't have any info otherwise, that was her belief, however she was wrong.

Eugene : not sure what you are asking but she currently is charging $100 an hour. We aren't very good promoters and she's probably had less than 20 paid reading sessions. She has started to open up about her gifts in her new circle of friends and though she knows it's not wise to try and read for friends as she knows them too well which may color her readings, and their is always a chance so information may come through while important to the clients life may be uncomfortable information for a friend to be aware of it. It's just not wise. Most of clients have been friends of friends.

Anyone interested in this topic might find "Surviving Death" by journalist Leslie Keane interesting reading.
I have studied mediums for decades and was deep trance medium myself in my 30's. I honestly don't know who or what we are communicating with in fact. There is a raging debate in the research community as whether mediumship is due to psi among the living (sometimes called 'super-psi') or does indeed involve after death communications suggestive of survival. Fascinating field with deep implications for those willing to objectively examine it thoroughly.

John, thanks for info. As to who or what, I did ask once about the different Greek and Roman gods and got the answer that it was the same ascended masters that many speak of today. Just different names. Neptune is quite the jokester. I once referred to his pitchfork and he jumped in and said" it's not a pitchfork it's a trident. I'm down below in the ocean but not down that far down to have a pitchfork " alluding to the common earthly view of hell.

Another interesting item that took a while to assimilate is that the spirits will appear differently to different people for various reasons. Initially when my mother passed over she appeared to Vicki in flapper clothing as she loved to dance and that was her era and how she wanted to celebrate being able to enjoy that feeling again. Later on she would appear more as she was as a more grown up persona. Some of the ascended masters interactions are sarcastic and teasing in nature because that is the kind if interaction that works with my wife and frankly how my wife and I interact, lots of good natured kidding.
But the same masters are very serious when they interact with other people we know and trust. It goes back to what I said about the different perspectives, what works for some people doesn't work for others. |

Summerland was the victorian (spiritualistic) term for the afterlife...
here's the thing - if you want to ask questions, you nearly always get labelled as argumentative or similar, when really - if you step away from that for a second, just think about it a little differently... someone has just appeared and said "hey, one of the biggest things people concern themselves about whilst alive, is REAL...there IS an afterlife..." - that's a huge statement to hear, and I would find it odd if no one had any questions...so there WILL BE questions - because its such a huge thing...its not automatically an argument... so I have some more questions if this is about 'creator' - why is that being labelled as something different than a god? what is the afterlife if it isn't heaven? if it is heaven, is it like how its described in the book(s)? if it is, great - which book if not, any idea why not? what are the differences how does someone in the spirit world differ from the living world? any way we can work out the rules of communication? is it one place, full of different cultures and beliefs? are there cavemen there? are there any cut off points in any way? ghost hippies? Edwardian or victorian? before that... are there any gaps culturally? language rules I have loads more - but its those things I've always wanted to know...

I'm in the Dallas Fort Worth area but my wife has done readings over Skype and I haven't told her I'm talking here about it and I didn't intend to go in this direction. I just wanted to share my experience. I had to look up "wind-up" as I wasn't sure what that meant but I guessed right.
Yes I did want to provoke thought and discussion. But I haven't lied about anything. I do like getting interesting questions to ask the spirits but I am accumulating them so I have them ready for when the opportunity arises. I'm sensing this is probably a good time to end the discussion as I don't want to cause any distress to my wife that may come out of this. Those of you who have been open and interested I appreciate that. Those that do have questions, if you can pm me I can give you some more info. That "may" work or it may not. If it was just me affected I would carry on but it's not. Thanks for your consideration. Bob |

Francis Bacon wrote that he studied two books, Scripture and Nature. In other words, for Bacon, spiritual knowledge was tempered by empirical knowledge and empirical knowledge was supplemented by his religion.
This model is useful because some spiritual claims can be tested, and some scientific claims can be subjected to ethical scrutiny. It seems to me that the dialogue between science and spirituality has produced good results on both sides. I would add a third book to Bacon's two, however--that book being the book of the arts. The arts, such as mentalism, can be informed by the other two realms as well. These thoughts lead me to think about my best friend from high school who told me he once felt a malevolent spirit when a pallet fell unexplainably in the night. A practical, pragmatic guy who would later join the military, I have no question his experience and story were utterly sincere. The interesting thing here is that he had a physical phenomenon to accompany the subjective experience. Probably if he had either one without the other, he would not have retold the story with such intensity.
