I remember Ireland's (Magic Inc.?) supplied the routine and brass bowl with your choice of two different final loads. One was a hard bagel and the other was an even harder hockey puck.

On June 15, I recommended that you read--no, STUDY--Harlan TARBELL'S "HUNDRED YEAR OLD COURSE". I STUDIED it when I was 15, in the mid '40s. Doc Tarbell ("Doc" --he was a naturopath, and, a nudist) AND, an excellent PERFORMER of MAGIC! In the late '40s, he FOUR WALLED the opera house, in Chicago, SUCCESSFULLY. On its vast stage, his props "sat" on a kitchen table, and he ENTERTAINED a full house! (The admission ticket cost the SAME as Harry Blackstone Senior's "Show of 1001 Wonders", which used a box car full of props.)
Doc started me on the path to a lifetime in magic. Much of what I have performed, to make a living came from TARBELL. (I learned PRINCIPLES that gave me a FOUNDATION to build on! Harold Rice's 'Encyclopedia of Silk Magic",! Bobo's "Modern Coin Magic", (Harold and J.B. were both long time FRIENDS!)are Classic works! Karl Fulves wrote a fine series (I've read them). Motown's "FOOD" did catch me eye! It took a minute to "decode" his typo! (I had a good laugh!!!) Motown has been "around"! His thinking is good! I haven't read Ken's "Sleight and the Family Stone", but, Ken wouldn't lead you astray, either. Then Kaliix "hit the ball out of the park" with his list of CLASSICS! I knew a "few" of those author/magicians. They ALL have contributed MUCH to the proverbial "SIX FOOT SHELF"! Mary "seconded" my motion, Chatterbox41 "thirded" it. I am "fourthing" it. If a carpenter is going to build a house, HE STARTS WITH A GOOD FOUNDATION!
