Customs taxes are charged at the government's discretion. There's no "additional" customs charge. There's a shipping fee, and sometimes the government will make you pay a customs charge to import something to the country.

Any parcel assessed as being liable for Customs charges will also incur a Royal Mail handling fee of £8. Any goods imported into the UK over the value of £15 are liable to import VAT. Gifts between private individuals over the value of £39 are also liable for VAT. Goods and gifts over these values may also be liable for customs duty. You no longer have to pay Customs duty for goods up to the value of £135, however you will still be required to pay import VAT and excise duty where applicable." So if it is marked as being over £15 value you have to pay an £8 charge + VAT (which is 20% of value) - so, for example an item listed as being £30 value would incur VAT of £6 + £8 handling fee = £14 added giving a total of £44 (including your original purchase price). The reason goods from China often evade these charges is that they put a value below £15 on the customs deceleration label on the package. I hope this clarifies the situation for those in the UK buying from outside the E.U. |

Getting ready to place my order. Are most of you ordering extras for back ups, or are you using routines that require more than one wallet?

Just got mine today. Noticed a few things and I'm not sure if this is totally normal. One is that the side it opens to seems to be a bit more random after using it for a little bit. I feel like I need to rebend things after a minute of use just to make sure the spectator will actually open it and a flash not occur. The inside also doesn't seem to lie flush with the walls of the device, and looks a bit suspicious. Also, I swear I read somewhere in here that, in the purse, their coins don't talk during a shake if they're on a hidden side. Mine certainly seem to do so.
Finally, and this is just a me issue, but I cannot figure out how to do the "advanced handling" move from the tutorial. You know the one. Can anyone PM me tips on that? Seems like no matter how hard I try, I can't make it switch while open. |

I just got mine today from glitch. It was actually a pretty quick ship and arrival. That's the good new. The bad news : no links to any downloads or online videos on how to handle it. So I'm clueless as to how to handle it deftly.
If Kelvin or someone else could pm me with how to get the tutorials I would appreciate it! I want to see if I can do the folded signed card appears in the quiver. |

Same here with regard to the "which side will open this time?" issue. I can still make it work easily but I can't trust it to be handled by spectators.

It's certainly making it risky to use. I've found that if I covertly give it a little bend back to the normal side before handing it off to a spectator to open, things go okay. But this is still a far cry from how I expected this to work. Been waiting months to finally have one, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the end.

Same issue after minimal use no telling which side may open. Glad I did not buy more than 2 of these. Worked well when first purchased and now - no way I would trust a spectator opening this.

I have it bent the wrong way for me to open and that way the spectator can never ever open it wrong . When I open it I know how to move the tab in the process of opening it . Once done you can flip it back but it will naturally still hold the backward bend anyway so the spectator cannot open the wrong side . If you are worried at all then just tweak that bend backwards once before you go out on the evening you are going to perform . I hope that helps Tarik 🙂

It was hard to determine from the video which is the "hidden" side that it came set up as. I've bent the trigger perhaps in two different ways lol.
At first, I found myself looking at the video and making a mirror image mentally and trying to see where the flap trigger is (vertically up or down) and then trying to see which way the trigger has been pressed (left or right) when Kelvin says this is the "hidden" side. Maybe I'm over thinking this. I've tried to determine the hidden side by placing something in each side and seeing if it is seen or not when the tab is not engaged. Like others I seem to get a hit or miss as to whether the spec handling only shows the non-hidden side. After a little experimentation and observation it seems the hidden side is on the quiver stamped side. I think! At least I have had more success when I bend the purse assuming that. Mentioning this in the tutorial would be a descriptive help, IMO. |
