Hello all! I am an RN with a local Emergency Department. That's right, if you saw yourself in half (death aside), I'll put you back together. I am married with 3 children (11, 8, & 1.5 years). I have enjoyed slight of hand and magic since I was young and try my best to incorporate it into the care of my patients when I can, especially the children. Last year I went on a medical trip to Guatemala and was afforded the opportunity to perform for the village on our last day there. It was an amazing opportunity for me and amazing how, it don't matter what languages you speak, magic is usually universal. I've been told I need to add international magician to my resume now, ha ha. Glad to be able to be a part a last group of people to get ideas from and to help with new ideas.

Welcome MRSA RN,
What an unfortunate name for a Nurse. "Glad to be able to be a part a last group of people to get ideas from and to help with new ideas." I'm hoping you meant VAST instead of last. LOL What kinds of Magic are you most into? -Mary Mowder |

I got that name due to the fact that no one could say my last name back when I did fire and EMS.
I do close up magic, of course using both propped materials and a few manipulation/misdirectional tricks. I do a lot of card tricks, but that doesn't work so well in my setting. Prop decks like the Svengali work well. I working on the linking rings right and sponge balls. The favourite of my patients so far is the magic light that I make appear and disappear. I love it when I leave the room and the kids as looking all over for the light and trying to pull it out of their ear or belly button. |
