This may also be of interest to some of you. There is a book out (I found a copy at Barnes and Nobel on the discount table, but I see it is on Amazon as well) titled Titanic - The Legend of the Unsinkable Ship - Centenary Edition by Beau Riffenburgh (hardbound edition). While the book is nice, it also comes with about a dozen replica documents that are very well crafted. They include a few telegrams, a blueprint, baggage claim ticket, marine communication memo's, a telegram to the White House, etc. These are really nice additions for expanding your performance.

Update,
Monday evening I should have the info for you on how to get the crib. At the moment, I am working out how to package this. I don't want to fold the crib for shipping where the fold crosses text, so on Monday, I am going to have to make some adjustments to the PhotoShop document so I can get these into a 5x7 envelope, but not have a fold cross text. The basic deal is there is going to be three cribs (the extras are for backup or if you want to gaff more than one newspaper) and a two page tip/instruction/script. |

It's Monday evening.
Nope. I didn't get to get into PhotoShop today to make the small tweaks I wanted to make. Honestly, I'm not prolonging this to build up interest or sales, but I want to get this right the first time. I run a newspaper and Mondays are one of our busiest days. I should have never promised that I would get something done today. For those that want this, it will be worth a few more days wait. I don't like offering pre-orders or something like that, I've seen the trouble that has caused at times. And those that know me on the Café knows that I play straight and honest. So, it's coming, be rest assured. And those who get this should be well pleased and served. |

You never said what Monday evening it would be ready so you're still on schedule.
Always remember, the sooner you fall behind the more time you have to catch up.

I would also be interested in this Al & thank you for taking your personal time to create & offer this to us.
Ya I've learned long time ago to never promise anything on a Monday or a Friday to my customers....lol, we appreciate your honesty & as for me I'm in no hurry. Understandably you don't produce effects for a living time wise & have the fantastic advantage of running a newspaper & can take the time to make these & offer when your satisfied to us, pre orders can create a headache if things don't go as planned. Looking forward to it when you can Al |

OK,
I finished my tweaks to the crib. Now I can fold the crib in half and it will fit in a 6x9 inch mailing envelope. And the fold does not go across any of the text. So, here is the deal. You get three duplicate cribs, printed on newsprint paper and two pages of instructions, tips and some scripting dialog you can use to explain the newspaper. I actually use the newspaper in hand while the spectator is finding the passenger in Fathoms. The instructions explains how I use the newspaper in the actual routine. I don't use the newspaper as just a peripheral prop, it's a major part of my routine. But you can use the paper in any way you see fit. You can put the duplicates aside in case your crib gets shoddy from use or accidentally torn. I always like to have back ups of certain props, so that's why I decided to include three sheets. Cost $12 shipped. All you have to do is PayPal me the money, in the note put "Fathoms crib" and I will get these out to you by the weekend (if not sooner). My PayPal ID is newton@acrossthebow.com Don't be surprised when you see the name "Walter L. Newton" on your PayPal transaction. That's my real name, Al Desmond is a stage name I have been using since 1968 and it's the name I have used on all of the effects that I have had on the market over the last 50 years. Any questions, PM me or leave a message on this thread. Thanks. |

Ok.
My message about shipping to Western Europe was confusing. The price is $12 for the CONUS. $15 to mail to Western Europe. |

Ok.
I mailed nine orders out today, which was all orders made up to this morning. Three international and six state side. Regular mail so I suspect that overseas will take 6-10 days. PM me if you have any questions. And I still have four packages ready to go, if you order today, it will be in tomorrows mail. |
