Honesty and trying to help other magicians by giving sound advice will get your post deleted. Rick has the Café over a barrel so much I can hear the squealing from here in the UK.....

I emailed his wife and it still didn't do any good. All I got back was a response saying she is pushing him as hard as she can and it will be sent ASAP. REALLY? How long does it take to prepare and send a COA?

I got sort of tricked into this as I ordered something off of E-bay from a seller and when the money was sent the receipt came back from Outlaw. I decided to wait it out and now am out of patience and voodoo pins. The doll is crying and pleading, "Please not another pin!"

I just read that KyleSW here on the Café got a Helldora, he is asking for help on how to use it. He said:
"So if anyone has any idea how the new helldora box works, I'd be interested in hearing from them as the instructions that come with it are of no use to man nor beast and Rick seems to have no idea either." So if someone has a Helldora and understands it, please send some help his way. Tim |

Whatever happened to the guy who wrote a month or so ago that he was receiving his Helldora within a week? We asked for a critique but never heard back from him. He had a low post number, so was he a plant to sell the box? Just like death, so many questions but so few answers.

So I recieved my Helladora about 2 weeks ago. I have been working it in at various gigs and I have to say that for my uses it is perfect. I mainly wanted the box for the animations as I wasn't too interested in the other features.
The box itself looks beautiful and I have had no issues operating it (anyone who has a helladora and is having any trouble feel free to pm me as I may be able to help). I do have 2 criticisms of the box though, the first is that the noises are almost too loud. I would personally prefer noises coming from the box to be bearly audible as that feels more "real" to me. Secondly is that the switching gimmick in the box is very inconsistent. I would not recommend using this feature in any live performance. Thankfully I wasn't intending on using the switching gimmick nyself so for me it isn't too big an issue, but it is a consideration for anyone else who is considering buying. Lastly you should be aware that the box uses batteries VERY quickly. You would get one, maybe two performances from a set of batteries. Let me know if you would like to know anything else about the box. Cheers, Sean. |
