Hey everybody!

As some of you may have noticed, over on the social medias, I've been posting daily videos as part of what I'm calling Sleight365.

Long story short, I'm posting a new video every day of a sleight, or sleight of hand trick.
While originality is not one of the explicit criteria, I try to at the very least have my own spin/touches on any material that's not original to me.
So, HOPEFULLY, even when it's not 100% original to me, everything should still have some of me in it.

I don't want to spam the Café with a new video every day, so I think I'm going to try and post once a week with that weeks videos, assuming everyone here is interested.

Feel free to share these publicly, I have no shame.
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

I won't forget you Robert.

Week 1 (Aug 5-11)

Day 1
The classic colour change
This is a side steal I've been focusing on for the past few years. My main goal was to have all of the left fingers on the sides of the deck. That is, no finger/thumb on top of the deck, which is usually necessary to clip the bulk of the deck in place during the steal.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXbiXPgA90Y/

Day 2
Retention Vanish, "Banish"
Retention vanish variations, first more classic, second to simulate tossing the coin into the hand.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXefk6FgSCo/

Day 3
Bare handed coin production
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXgDpJnAfcL/

Day 4
Simple trick using a peek control, and a sloppy DPS
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXjQHCFAIk5/

Day 5
The World's Fastest Card Trick
To commemorate the passing of the Legendary Eugene Burger (June 1, 1939 – August 8, 2017)
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXlcPVpgJug/

Day 6
Slow-mo Snap, variation of a vertical Marlo Snap Change
This is a colour change I independently developed about 10 years back, originally with a different, ****tier, cleanup, as seen here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_ ... cation=ufi
Shane Cobalt developed a similar change, with a FAR superior clean-up. He gave me some criticism and advice regarding my cleanup, which I took and changed the direction of my clean up, VASTLY improving it.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXohnKOgOWt/

Day 7
Spread Pass
This quicky has a few moves and touches on other people's ideas. The first flourishy spread with the Ace gliding along was something I came up with as an alternative to Lee Asher's Silver Surfer.
Then there's a few different ideas at play in the LePaul Spread Pass, although I fell into OLD habits as this still has a noticeable "accordion" action with the hands during the actual shift. Eliminating the accordion action has USUALLY been my focus when working on the spread pass, but completely lost all that work in this moment, lol.

Week 2 (Aug 12-18)

Day 8
Tabled Riffle shuffle Action Palm
I shared this move on the Pebble a few years back. A palm of the 4 aces from the top of the deck during a tabled riffle shuffle.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXt28SUAN0E/

Day 9
Four Ace Control
Four aces apparently inserted into four different places in the deck, all return to the top, with no shuffling, cutting, or shifting.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXwDeGCgwRO/

Day 10
Super clean coin vanish
An impromptu vanish developed many moons ago.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXyq1zUg4pF/

First 10 days BONUS VIDEO
This was a fun video to commemorate the first 10 days of trying to film magic with kids around:
https://www.instagram.com/p/BXy5LE5gC0b/

Day 11
Cover pass based on the Thompson shift, and a colour change based on the twirl change
https://www.instagram.com/p/BX1d5gpA6wT/

Day 12
Sloppy bottoms, in the wind.
These would loose me my hands, lol.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BX1d5gpA6wT/

Day 13
One of my FAVOURITE vanishes, with a KILLER retention.
If anyone knows the proper credit, I'd love to know. I believe I first saw I performed by Jonathan Townsend, but I'm not certain.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BX6dWqYn9pV/

Day 14
Sloppy seconds, in the wind.
Again, would loose my hands.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BX9D2f9gUVv/
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

Week 3 (Aug 19-25)

Day 15
Another Colour Change!
This is another variation of the side steal change I posted for day one, but with a different get ready. Also, Thompson shift again.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BX_dxIlgOxX/

Day 16
This is more or less a variation on Tyler Wilson's Run n' Tug vanish from his book Dominatricks. Difference mainly being the grip, and a few tweaks to facilitate the move from the new grip/postition.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYCVpcvnJ3N/

Day 17
Vertical Snap Change
Marlo snap change, held vertically, and with deck clean up, and pretentious unnecessary card twirly and flipping.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYE4dnaAl31/

Day 18
Shrinking Deck using Squeeze Change
Originally this was a single card shrink, but last second I realized I could apply it to a whole deck shrink.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYHku8YHc3h/

Day 19
Face-up Tent Vanish
I originally came up with this for an Open Travellers handling that ultimately evolved into Wide Open Travellers (A Series of Unfortunate Effects.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYKHQd3nbWT/

Day 20
A Pip Rip Trick
Variation of a common plot. I'm not sure of the origins of the first change I do, but it's similar to the latter half of the Cervon Free Turn Pass, I believe. The second is the Twirl Change variant from day 11.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYMTxmnnpLD/

Day 21
Sleight of Finger
Something from Meir Yedid's Finger Fantasies, featuring the appearing wedding ring!
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYO1MvMnxYo/
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

I won't forget you Robert.

Week 4 (Aug 26-Sept 1)

Day 22
A one handed coin change
Based on something in Kenner's Totally Out of Control, this happens at the finger tips, with no cover.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYRhNW1HHtR/

Day 23
Crazy Man's Handcuffs
With a delayed release allowing for an added convincer.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYUMxYLHkTk/

Day 24
Bottom Palm
This is essentially a variation on the Erdnase bottom palm, first method, second variation.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYW-hQ3nIIh/

Day 25
Senoj Change.
This is something I stumbled upon by my mind interpreting the Buck Twins' Jones Change, backwards, the first time I saw it.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYZXuP7nN3b/

Day 26
A variation in the Erdnase Transformation, two hands, first method.
I know I'm not the only person who does this. I came up with it to avoid the initial push forward action that usual begins most handling.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYcLAQ7naw_/

Day 27
A vanish I've been toying with recently.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYeZ51Tgg8G/

Day 28
A coin vanish attempting to mimicking Cornelius' Fickle Nickle, with sleight of hand.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYgyMwsnFsA/

Week 5 (Sept 3-Sept 9)

Day 29
Impromptu Floating Card
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYjwoiXHiXI/

Day 30
Impromptu Coin Thru Glass
An idea I had many years back, but haven't really played with much since.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYmP13unk2t/

Day 31
A shift
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYpFl8cHoP5/

Day 32
Spring Out Pop Out
A pop out from a card spring. Oddly, this actually inadvertently came from playing the Anaconda card dribble.
https://www.instagram.csom/p/BYrrz8on6U1/

Day 33
Linking Rubber Bands
A Dan Harlan style Linking Rubber Bands, with a few finesses "of mine," but I'm sure they predate me.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYtxwWyncZO/

Day 34
A Rinsing Card Change
Inspired by a bit on Gregory Wilson's Card Stunts, from a multiple production routine. The original involved Raise Rise, and a bit more get ready. At the time of watching the video, Raise Rise was still a bit beyond my reach (and after seeing Tony Chang's work with it, I now realize it will FOREVER be beyond my reach,) so I worked up this instead.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYwlyyXHz4z/

Day 35
Cardistry and Paintbrush Change
A couple of snippets of Cardistry for fun, and a Paintbrush Change. Not really much added here. Pretty standard I think.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYzdjBwHTd4/

Finally gotten around to something I've been wanting to do since week one. Weekly compilation videos!
I'm going to post the rest throughout the week, but in the mean time, here's week one:

I'll be posting this past week's videos shortly as well.
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

Week 7 (Sept 9-15)

Day 36
Aaron Fisher's Revolver routine
A few minor tweaks. Nothing I wold dare call an "improvement," but just personal preference.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BY1xP5dHRqP/

Day 37
Ring on Rubber Band
This one is based on a LOT of different people's work. I don't know off hand who first published the underlying principle, probably Dan Harlan. A lot of the approach for the displays here was inspired by Michael Scanzello's Pi, although essentially reversed, so the displays are from the other side of the hand.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BY4ZTrsHXJ_/

Day 38
Slow Motion Card Vanish
Inspired by Dai Vernon's original, but a completely different technique as I could never make Vernon's work for me.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BY61swSHGMH/

Day 39
Shuffled, Unshuffled
A really crappy Truffle Shuffle, followed by a visual seperation/re-ordering I won't specify what it's based on, as it's too good. That said, I'm sure many will recognize it's roots.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BY9RzcxHo0V/

Day 40
Kenner's Linking Rubber Bands
This is pretty much as published (as far as I recall.) I don't think there's really anything original here. Maybe the presentation of the linking moment, but probably not.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BY_346vH57C/

Day 41
Cold Fusion
A silly idea I had for a seemingly impromptu bit of magic with ice.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BZCkgXpHtYi/

Day 42
My Colour Changing Deck routine
Pretty much as taught on Chris Mayhew's A Series of Unfortunate Effects. Updated patter/presentation, which I'm really pleased with actually. That's the one part of this routine that I was always unsatisfied with, as it always felt forced. I think the silliness helps here, and the premise follows through from start to finish, which really pleases me.
