I could have the opportunity to attend this expo, but before committing the time, I would like some comments of people that attended maybe a previous one on what should I expected.
I am a hobbyist more than a magician, so I will enjoy performance more than learning how to do a pass from Greg Wilson one on one, also I would like to buy one or two props. Questions From where do you see the performances of Greg Wilson, Mason or Paul Richards, a large conf center with a video or in a more smaller place, I assume Manhattan will have a lot of attendance. For instance, if I ended watching on a video screen is better for me to buy a DVD and watch it on my TV. Mason, Richards, Penguin and Wilson will be selling their products, Would they sell it at a more competitive prices or it is the same as buying through internet, I know I can see the prop in real life, but going to Manhattan with the tickets and travel will be close to $100. What other things I can enjoy at the Expo, that I could not be aware? I know Manhattan, so sightseeing the City is not a perk. Thanks for your help |

Sorry if this response is too late?
I have been to two different ones with Penguin. Both at different venues. Hotels. I am also like you. A hobbyist. I LOVED it!!!!! Just hanging with other magicians was a blast. Everyone is awesome and friendly. As for your specific questions. Each person has a table set up. Greg, Mark, Brent, Nick, etc. The magicians from Penguin are fun!!! They each demo their effects right there up close. They answer questions and love hanging out with you and others. But again, hanging with other magicians like us is worth the price alone. Mike Then the actual lectures themselves is for the entire place. Usually in a rented room of hotel. Well, big rental hall type room. Chairs set up for everyone. And they perform and answer questions. |
