A few months ago, I received the following email (edited slightly):


Dear Mr. Farmer,

My name is Steve Johnson and I have owned and operated Grand Illusions, my brick ‘n mortar magic shop for nearly thirty years.

Many years ago I started selling the Dark Card by Camirand Academy. ... there was this jewel hidden in the very last pages of the instructions, “The Red Card Of Mystery" by Bob Farmer.”

This trick was a treasure and I have performed it here at Grand Illusions for decades selling dozens and dozens of this wonderful effect that no one had ever heard of.

A few weeks ago something terrible happened. All of my distributers had sold out of Dark Card and the official word from Camirand is “Discontinued”.

I have been a proud owner and operator of the three books mentioned here since their release. I have been a follower of the works of Bob Farmer for over 30 years and love everything he has created. I am eagerly looking forward to more in the future. Hopefully, the Covid19 pandemic will be over soon enough and we can start performing close up again with these wonderful effects. They are too good not to show them every day.
