Hi there,
I watched last night the "Kiko Pastur Penguin Lecture". It was really great! I can recommend it to anybody who want to see how a master of our art is performing and what he is thinking about every aspect of his routines. one of the best lectures I have seen. now to my question: in this lecture he is showing a shuffle by Shimpei Katsuragawa. I'm not sure that I understood the name of this shuffle correct, but I think he said "violin shuffle". is this shuffle somewhere published? any infos about the shuffle I would appreciate. sennheiser |

Hi Senheiser,
Thanks for your comment! As far as I know, Shimpei's "violin shuffle" is not published. Anyway you can find a similar type of shuffle like Heinstein's shuffle, Benjamin Earl shuffle, or Truffle shuffle of Derek DelGaudio that they are published. But the violin shuffle is my favourite of this kind. You can see here that shuffle from 6:12 to 6:19 (even it is not the best camera angle for this shuffle) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-_cmPteBdU * It is a delicious act from Shimpei Katsuragawa called "The Campanella act", a wonderful magician and outstanding and beautiful cardmagic act. Enjoy it! Kiko Pastur |

Hi Kiko Pastur,
I'm honored to get a reply from you. no need for thanking me, because everything I wrote about your lecture is totally the truth. like I said, everybody can learn from your great lecture. if more magicians (I'm also guilty) would just think 10% of your thinking for every routine, then we would have better performances and magicians. I knew that this shuffle is like the Heinstein or the truffle shuffle, but hoped that it is somewhere published. because I liked to see the difference to the truffle shuffle, which I use sometimes but most the time I use Hollingworth's shuffle. would be great if Shimpei Katsuragawa would publish his working on the shuffle. I would be the first buyer. thanks for the link, I will look at the performance when I'm at home. have a nice day and I hope we will see some new projects in the future from you. bye sennheiser |
