That's why this conversation will be going on long after all of us. |

I did not grow up around firearms or shooting as a sport - so can't talk to more than the brand names that get tossed around the way some people talk about fashion designers.

IMO the only time to use a gun is against another with a gun. Punks use guns against unarmed people. The worst are gang members who can't fight. Frightened people need to grow a pair and learn to fight, with their hands. Ask any European woman, about what they think about American men and they will mostly say WIMPS. Check out the faces of many English and Irish men from those countries, they have crooked noses and scares all over their faces for a reason. I'm no pretty boy either but you learn, that if you want to have any looks you had better be able to handle yourself. Having said that, America makes some of the finest weapons in the world and I'm happy to have used them. Of course I have NEVER used a weapon against, an unarmed person.
And before anybody thinks I bashed America with what I said European women say, ask them about it?
No matter how many times you say the wrong thing, it will NEVER be right.
If I'm not responding to you? It's because you're a TROLL! |

Later, when Adams is facing defeat, Hall comes to him and says; "I'm sorry if I startled you. I couldn't sleep. In trying to resolve my dilemma I remembered something I'd once read, "that a representative owes the People not only his industry, but his judgment, and he betrays them if he sacrifices it to their opinion." [He smiles] "It was written by Edmund Burke, a member of the British Parliament."

Had he remembered the representation part, we’d still be in the British Empire!
They picked him because of his abilities. Specifically, his ability of judgement.

True. But hopefully they still mean something when written or read in a Declaration of Independence, or a Constitution, or a Petition of Right.
