Hi everybody, I am used to introduce myself when I join a community, regardless if I will be able to actively contributing or not, so here I am.
I'm italian, about 43 years old, with a big passion for magic and little to no time to practice. It feels good to be here . Andrea

Welcome andrea.corelli,
Tell us about your Magical interests. If you place Magic props like cards, Ring and Ribbon, etc... around your easy chair, you might find some short periods of time for practice. It is not like a rehersal but the time can help a specific "move". This is easier if you are into Close-Up. LOL -Mary Mowder |

Thanks Mary,
yes, I am into close up, but I haven't really found out what my true path is. I have practiced a bit of cards, coins and rope, but honestly I am really attracted by pick pocketing, which is something very hard to practice, I fear. At the moment the only time I have to practice is about 1 hour in front of the TV in the evening. I never have free hands at work and I work about 14 hours a day on an average. I have 2 kids (one is 14 months old) and that eats most of the remaining time. I manage to read bits and pieces before going to bed and that's it. I honestly guess I will get a lot more from this forum than what I will be able to return. Hope this is not a problem. Thanks for welcoming Andrea

Andrea -- I think most people in the Café get more than they give, It's no problem at all. Remember that a good question can be a valuable contribution to a discussion. And perhaps when your kids are a bit older they can share your interest. Until then -- welcome!
It's still magic even if you know how it's done.

Andrea,
Why can't your kids be willing victims---I mean volunteers? They would think it fun! Seriously, though, when you say pick-pocketing, I immediately think of those doing mental misdirection routines with/to people in the street. They are always well-meaning. Here are a few example videos I found, and I'm sorry I can't think of the proper term: Apollo Robbins has made a career of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZGY0wPAnus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wTeQ2ly6Uw I was introduced to this by watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzGpWSPxYxM If this isn't your passion, was I close?

Don't worry about the giving part.. I've been a member for over ten years and have yet to make 100 posts. I DO get a lot from all the other members though, and thoroughly enjoy reading what others have to say..
