I haven’t done coin magic for a looong time. About a year ago, I came across my collection of coins, but I don’t know what I did with the instructions or with my notes.
The first thing that I relearned was Roth’s coins across, which I love for a lot of reasons. I’m now looking for a CSB, or similar 2 coin routine which is done with a spectator involved, and I’d like some recommendations. I did see one routine that I really liked on YouTube, but the performer doesn’t publish, and stealing a whole routine is repugnant to me. (Steal from one, it’s plagiarism. Steal from many many, it’s research ) |

Howdy,
Check out PDQ by Paul Harris. Real clean, to the point and ends in their hands. |

Hein’s Catch Up is a wonderful and different CSB routine. Not easy.

Jeremy Pei has some interesting work on his "Ultimate CSB Magic" DVD. There are 6 routines that include other effects than just transpositions. Penguin and other retailers have it.

I was talking to Ben Salinas not long ago about CSB routines and he turned me on to this little gem. I really like it.

Thank you guys. You gave me a lot to think about, and I now have a handle on what I want out of the routine.

I haven’t seen many of suggested routines here but the ones I have seen have all involved transpositions. Pipo’s routine that Poof-Daddy linked uses the CSB in a way I had never seen. All the movements were so well motivated. I really enjoyed watching that one!

I’ve actually seen a number of coin routines, CSB and others, that I like. I think that I’ll just play with what I have, and try to develop from there. I appreciate all of the info that you guys have given me, but it’s obvious that I can research various routines for a long time before I even scratch the surface. I’m really itching to start learning a routine so maybe I can develop one I can call my own. (Didn’t Gershwin write a song like that?)

Triple Transpo from Bob Sheets' Bob Does Hospitality DVD, Volume 2.
He also goes over it in his Penguin Magic lecture. No going to the pockets, spectators get involved, ends clean. |
