I really like how this looks.
It's visual, it makes sense. I think it's a great opener! More info: https://www.murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=60897 Best regards, Titanas

If, when you say “it makes sense” you mean “it makes no sense” then I agree.
Standard McDonald’s aces is so so so much better. |

It's a visual ace production that happens to leave you in the requisite position to do Macdonalds aces if you wanted to. With that in mind, the usual beginning to the "standard" MacDonalds Aces is to spread through and remove the aces. How is that so so so much better than magically producing four aces? |

Usually everything Liam touches is gold. I'll be on this one when it is in stock in the states.

Been doing this for about 20 years. Originally saw it on an old Stephen Tucker International Magic lecture video.
Be good to finally get The properly printed cards! I’ll definitely be ordering this. |

Remember seeing Stephen perform this back in 1981 and it is one of the few card tricks that sticks in my mind from the thousands that I've seen over the years. It's a very visuallly arresting effect with an unusual and rarely visited plot line.
Interestingly the video in the link doesn't show the trick as I remember it though. The idea starts the same with all the four aces supposedly squeezed into one card; the 4 of (in this case) Hearts. A heart (the AH) is pulled from the 3H to leave the 3 of Diamonds (not the three of hearts as in the video) Then a diamond (the AD) is pulled from the 3D to leave the 2 of (say) spades and a spade (the AS) is pulled from the 2S to leave the Ace of remaining suit. (AC) To my thinking that makes more sense than the way it is shown in the video. The handling in the video demo is not at all good either. It doesn't show the trick in the way it should be performed and a lot of the effect is completely lost due to the handling being done so cosily. The openness of the effect is lost and it is the openness and slowness of the handling/move that makes the illusion so good. One of the easy things about this effect is that the one sleight/move that you use to create the visual effect works best when performed in a way that would normally be considered a poor execution of the sleight. Over the years I have created several non gaffed versions of this effect. One of them I think looks particularly good but none of them are cleaner than Stephen's original and they are certainly no where near as easy to do. One other thing I recall is that Stephen also had a very unusual and strange way of displaying the aces once they had appeared which is also not shown in the video. My advice is, if you like the plot and like the effect bare in mind that it looks so much better than it does on the video being used to promote it.

Great way to flow seamlessly into McDonald's Aces

I saw at the International Convention many moons ago, it was the one trick which made me buy the VHS.
I made the cards as Stephen used to and performed it many many times. You could even say it was the trick which turned me into a magician in my friends eyes. Thrilled it is being released with gimmicks as it gives me an excuse to revisit it. |

I found this youtube video, which I assume is Stephen Tucker performing the effect at a lecture. And as Sealegs pointed out above, this does look better than the promotional video's version:

Isn’t it amazing that the low-fi, single mounted camera, VHS rip demo is far better than the new highly polished promo.
Wouldn’t it be nice if dealers could learn something from this! |
