I miss reading Dr Bob. He was always interesting.
One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.

Spot on. It was a daily chance to siphon off some greatness from a legend.

His words personally reversed several of my viewpoints and helped me find my character (or at least improve it).

Fortunately, he left behind a great collection of his thoughts.

Perhaps one day someone will compile all of these into a single volume.

I've started going back through his material, I can almost hear his voice through his written words.

Just my thoughts, Solarzar

Bob was a great thinker and performer. He had a wealth of knowledge under his hat and was willing to share his insights about that and many other topics as well.

He was also a terrible business person with his products. I can honestly say that while I do miss his wisdom where it came to performance and methodology, I never paid any attention to his pontificating when it came to ethics, as I felt, and still feel, he had no place in pointing out someone else's poor ethics.

Bob was truly a mastermindreader.

Often one must overlook others faults and try their darndest to accept the positive aspects of their skills and contributions.

I know some will say, hey dude no one gets a pass if their business acumen is crummy and they are ripping people off. Well true, but I was never ripped off by Bob or anyone affiliated with him.

I think it's just par for the course as they say with some of the great thinkers. They often think only one way. And that way is to CREATE.

Let's not turn this into all the not so great things about one's personality. We all already know these things. At this point there's nothing Bob can do about anything in his past so what's the point of putting him down. We do have access to tons of great material from a master.

Let's focus on the good stuff. Just stop the disparaging remarks RIGHT NOW.

As I said, Bob was a great thinker and performer. He was a brilliant creator and moved our at forward by leaps and bounds. No person is perfect. I just don't believe in white washing someone just because they've died. While I may miss the creative Bob, the other one I don't.

I miss his posts and his Encyclopedic knowledge of mentalism and spiritualism.

Plus he also had some good stories.

Never had the pleasure of meeting Bob C but since switching from magic to mentalism I absorb a little of his teachings every week. In coming across stumbling blocks in a new routine/effect, 'what would Bob C do?' is a frequent question to self.

He is still with us with his writing and body of work. Not to mention his posts on the Café. You could learn a lot from reading everything that he posted here.

Here's a nice free hour-long podcast with Bob from 2009. He was a great raconteur.

He is the reason I became a mentalist. Name & Place was the first routine I ever performed. I owe everything to Bob!
