How cold is it at your place? It is so cold here the cadavers anus pucker so much and I can't insert the anal cork or even a ten-penny nail.

Same here Willie! I had an Uncle up North that passed away and I cleared out a bunch of his stuff. Being a pack rat I kept most everything including a small snow blower. You are right nobody is laughing now. Hopefully can store it again for another decade!

We flat lined in Cleveland this morning. The only hot things here are the Cavaliers and a countdown to the Indians' spring training.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Fairbanks Alaska. It was -17 yesterday. Haven’t checked today. And this is actually an unseasonably warm winter.
We actually don’t bury bodies in the winter because the ground is frozen too hard. People either opt for cremation or keep the bodies frozen until they can be buried. Patrick |

Do you freeze the bodies and store them at the Funeral Home or just cover them and sit them outback? Sounds like a business idea to dig the holes before the winter sits in and then you could bury them at the time you wanted.

Where to put the dirt excavated from the hole? It also freezes! I understand that one of the mortuaries has a storage freezer, but I suspect most of the time cremation is the suggested option.
And a bunch of open holes makes visiting graves rather odd. Also, who is going to want to attend a graveside service at those temperatures? It was much warmer today, got up to about 0. One of my favorite temperatures for explaining things to Outside folks is -8. At that point, the temperature inside my house is as much above freezing as the outside is below. Patrick |
